Mrs. P - Congrats!! You looked beautiful in your pics! I absolutely loved your flowers. I also loved that your hubby did your TTD pics. My FI will be doing mine. We are getting married next month in Cozumel. The east side of Cozumel has many deserted beaches where we are planning to take the pics the day after the wedding. Like your Husband, my FI is an amateur photog and REALLY good with photoshop. he is really looking forward to taking the pics and hadn't heard of TTD until I showed him this site. Now, he is researching TTD!! Congrats again!

LALA - I'd never had much "luck" at those conventions until I met Paul. Usually, I don't go for the "cop" type. Paul was certainly an exception!!

Paul and I are both in law enforcement - he is a police officer in MA and I am a prosecutor in CT. We met at a convention in Washington, DC. I was in line for the restroom at the Friday evening social function and he was coming out of the restroom. I had never seen this man in my life! He stopped, looked at me, smiled and said, "I'm going to marry you someday" AND THEN HE WALKED AWAY! Of course, I thought "a**hole!" We saw eachother later in the evening and asked him if he had ever had success with that corny line. He said that he never used it before. Fast forward two years later, his birthday. He arrives at my house in his dress uniform, my first time seeing it. He asked me..."what did you get me for my birthday?" Once again, I found myself thinking, "a**hole!" BUT then he dropped to one knee, pulled out a little box and said "Because I was hoping you'd give me a yes!" And of course, I did. To date, we maintain two homes in two states...on the north shore of Boston and in central CT, and given where we are in our careers we will likely continue to live apart during the week. But as you all know, when its right, its right! (It just took me a little longer than him to realize it!)

My "new" dress has a much bigger slip than the "old" dress. Delta had better be in a good mood on 5/18!!! Hopefully I can sweet talk my dress into the first class closet!

Hi all! FI and I are having a true honest to goodness old-fashioned elopement next month in Cozumel. This is a second wedding for us both. We have been together for 4 years and engaged for 2. Everytime we go away on vacation, our family thinks we are going to come back married . Well, this time they will be right! I wanted a light weight dress, under $500 and here is the one I ordered in the color shown about 2 months ago. Until I started "browsing" again, it was perfect!! GB1003 Wedding Gown - Wedding Dress Well, then I started looking at David's bridal on line sale and found this stunner in white: I received it in the mail within 3 days. Tried it on... BINGO! I am 5'10 and a 36DD and this dress really compliments my figure. The first one was lovely but I looked REALLY busty. So what is the problem you ask? 1. Need to sell dress 1 2. We already bought FI's outfit from Tommy Bahama based on me wearing an ivory dress. Would me in white and him in an ivory short be ok? I am inclined to exhange the ivory shirt for white. what do you think?

I have speant a lot of time thinking about this! We are not including my 17 year old son in our Cozumel ceremony. (I do realize there is a world of difference between 11 and 17) Our ceremony will be just us and is a second wedding for us both. We wanted to include him but he begged off citing school and athletic commitments. He certainly will be part of our AHR. Do what is best for you. If you are having second thoughts about not including him, then your gut is trying to tell you something!

FI and I are getting married next month in Cozumel and my son is going to the junior prom tomorrow. Ironically, his prom cost almost as much as our DW (a true elopment) !!!!! lol: prom ticket - $130 tux - $120 flowers - $60 limo share - $100 pictures - $60 Yikes!!!! besides concern over the obvious cost issues...when did he get so grown up? I remember prom like it was yesterday!!!!! I know that when I see him in his tux tomorrow I am going to cry my eyes out. Help!!!!

I am an attorney for Connecticut's Department of Children and Families (DCF) I treasure my job! I do, though, belive that it is a calling. On a daily basis I handle the legalities of removing children from negectful and abusive parents. I think that in order to successfully work in this field one must be able to look beyond the horrors and focus on the good one is doing for the children. My work has been a humbling experience. I left private practice 10 years ago to do this work and haven't regretted it a day since. I promise that you will find your place. I applaud your willingness to even venture into the field.
