I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about Marcia!!! From her quick response to emails & phone calls to the absolutely breath taking memories that I have from my wedding day. I had my photos within a week and a half of being home. Marcia caught all of the precious moments throughout the day. She was there from the time I was getting my hair done to our beach reception after dinner. We also did a TTD photo session at Enchanting Gardens, which she recommended. There are smaller waterfalls and other great spots to take pix. She suggested it as it was less busy than Dunns River Falls, and she was right! Some of my photos can currently be found under 'Wedding Story' on her website - Jamaica wedding photographer , Marcia Roberts, Negril, Ocho Rios ,Montego Bay, Kingston, www.jamaicanphotography.com I strongly recommend Marcia to any bride getting married in Jamaica. She is based out of Kingston but will drive as far as Negril. I found that she has the best prices, and she made us all feel so comfortable all day. She had a second photographer with her, Chris. He was amazing as well, request him if you can. As the two of them work absolutely amazing alongside each other.

It's $90 per hour for the DJ equipment, or $150 per hour for the DJ. The $15/hr for the poolside does not include any music. It's for the bar and for the staff

The hotel is opening January 22!

We wanted to say Thank You to our guests for coming to our wedding, by paying for everyone to go to Dunns River Falls. It's something that everybody will want to do, and it's going to be awesome to have a group of 50 people doing it together!

I might be interested... I would need 40!

nikicrosby - I haven't even thought about bringing a photographer. I'm looking into some other photographers in Ocho Rios. Have you looked into bringing one?

BeachyIrishBride - Seagrape is a bar on the beach, that closes at about 6. So you are paying for them to keep it open just for your wedding party. They're talking about the Steakhouse A La Carte restaurant. It's a semi Private dinner that's included in the free package. As for wedding locations, there is a gazebo right on the beach. It's at the end of the property, so there won't be that many people around (or in your pictures). There's also a garden gazebo that is beautiful with a pond around it. The hotel is right in the backround though, so that would possibly be in your pix too. There are lots of pics and great info. Just search for what you're looking for.

Hey! I'll be there the same week as you!!! We'll be there from April 17 - April 24th, with our wedding date being April 22, 2010. I think that I'm going with the Beach Reception. I just bought my dress yesterday! So exciting! Not too sure about any of the other details though! Where in Canada are you from? )

Congratulations!!! That is sooo exciting! I think it's great that you are having a minimoon at a different hotel! You guys are going to have a great week! I'm going to the Sandals Dunns River next week, and I'm going to check out the SOR and the RIU to finally make up my mind to which hotel I'm going to have my wedding! Congrats again! )

The same thing happened to me! I thought that I wanted something light and flowy, but when I went to try them on, I fell in love with a Maggie Sotero gown. My issue now is that I'm comparing every other dress to that one! So i think that I did find 'the one' but I have to keep looking to be sure. Good luck!
