YUP no sundays, anywhere. But wow I did not know that ministers get paid extra for working Saturdays! You would think that for an extra extra fee they would work on sunday as well.

I have had two cousins get married in Punta Cana, and they both made arrangements with Liberty Travel. You could try with them. Their packages were hotel and flight in one. It is what I plan to do, and the best part is that you will not have to deal with the hassle of collecting money from different individuals, you would just refer them to the TA. The bad side is that they may not offer you the best package. So you will have to do some research before approaching one. Hope all works for you.

I am so sorry to hear about you. I would think that being the wedding so far in the future they would be able to accomodate you more, especially since it was there error. Wish you the best, hope all comes out okay.

After weeks of planning, buying invitations (making my own), and negotiating packages for PPR, I showed the finished price to my mother, and she freaked out! She said to was to too much for her to fly out my grandmother, and herself out, and she then proceeded to get my other family members to agree with her. Soo now I am at square one, I can not do my wedding at Paradisus Punta Cana because they do not have the date available. I am now considering Barcelo Bavaro Palace. I looks pretty, but they do not have any wedding information at all at their site. Has anyone had a wedding here, if so what was your opinion?

That is still happening with me. I am planning on a Punta Cana wedding, but I keep finding places all over the caribbean. My fiancee had the brilliant idea of thinking how far would a person really be willing to travel for our weddding. After asking, it turns out that many dont want a 10 hr flight to Cabo san lucas, soo we stuck as close as possible to the US. I say book as fast as possible so that you dont find that other place, that looks just as good and then you are stuck with the horrible question of where should I hold my wedding. =).

Hi everyone. I have been engaged for about year now, and decided on having a destination wedding. I am looking at the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana,DR, and am hoping for a Saturday after thanksgiving wedding. Funny enough a small party of 15 people has turned into about 50-60 saying they would like to attend. Yeeahhh, the stress. It's so much fun.
