    Hello

Congrats and Welcome Fran! I would suggest using the search engine to look up the two resorts that you have in mind. You will be able to hopefully find current threads on brides who have had or are planning current wedding and get some great feedback. Wishing you all the best!
  4. Nice, those look great! Love the idea of shout wipes..I know my soon to be brother in law always carries a tide pen on him. He would be overjoyed!
  5. Kitten- K I found it! Not sure how to post links...? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t44822 If this does not work search "KatKen Azul Sensatori Review" and it will come up...she has a full detailed discription of her wedding and the options she chose.
  6. Amy thanks for the update on the brochure...That is great the pricing has decreased. I'll re-download and check it out. Kittenheart - The donkey bar sounds really neat. I recall KatKen, I believe that is her name...she had the donkey bar from her photos. If you look up her review, I think she posted it separate it should have some good info..I'll try and find the thread and let you know.
  7. Thanks Elizabeth...I will check both accounts right now! I appreciate you responding to the thread.
  8. I def think making a list is a great idea and the questions everyone has listed are great. Do you know where you would like to go, all inclusive or not? Some things I had to keep in mind: Travel duration for elder guests - Meaning shortest flight possible to destination. Not too big of a resort, too much walking for the grandparents etc would be too much esp with the heat. Kid friendly, which was already mentioned...some have kids clubs etc. Look at what the wedding packages cover and how many people. If you are having a large wedding, the standard "free" package usually covers around 10 people...everything else becomes an additional cost. Happy Planning!
  9. Hi Ladies, Just curious to know how long it took to get a quote back for those of you who have been in touch with or used Elizabeth? Thanks!
  10. Katken, Did it take a long time to hear back from Elizabeth for a quote? I sent an email Sept 6th and have not heard anything back. I did receive an automated message stating that they received my email. Just curious what the turn around time is for quotes!? Thanks! LOVE your pics.

    hello

Welcome! There is a tonne of information on here that should help you narrow things down. Happy Planning.

    Newbie!

Congrats and welcome! It def can get overwhelming...I would suggest to start to narrow down your location first, whether it be Cuba, DR etc. Then zone in on all the resorts, all inclusive, adults only etc. Using the forum to read about where other brides are planning to go or where they have been is another great way to get started. Happy Planning.
  13. Congrats and Welcome! A villa is a great option...all the best with your planning.

    Nebie:)

Congrats and Welcome! This is a great site and def does get addicting. SO much great information on here. All the best with your planning.
  15. One more thing - Not sure if anyone is hiring a DJ...but i offered an idea on another thread regarding an ipod dock to play music. Apparently the hotel was going to charge $150 to use it. I own a bose ipod docking station and it is very portable and I know a girlfriend of mine has an even more compact device...it seems that the speakers on the bose may output more sound which might be nice all depending. However...what my point is, sorry for babbling, is that if a resort is going to charge, why not just buy a ipod docking device? You would then at least have something tangible at the end of the day. I might just do this myself. Def saves on a DJ...just make play lists or have it set to shuffle and your set!
  16. Hi All, Havent been on in awhile...STILL have not selected a resort ye! :S I was really hoping to have finalized something last week...and so my hopes are now this week. Meghan...update - just need to get fitted and place the order for my dress!! Hoping to do that on Friday after work. By the way, the wedding expo is this weekend at the round-up centre at stampede park 10:00-5:00. I hope your planning is coming along well.
  17. Quote: Originally Posted by meghan Hey Jenna! That banquet package you were looking at includes the pricing for private dinners. I think the cheapest dinner is around 14 dollars per person and goes up to over $100 i think. I have a lot of friends coming with toddlers and babies, and they all have rooms booked at sensatori that will provide them with a crib, stroller, etc., so azul sensatori is definitely accommodating to children. Meghan, That's great to hear that Sensatori provides all the amenities for children as well! I watched a couple videos on YouTube and Azul Beach really seems to push the children card. They show all the rooms equipped with cribs, strollers change tables etc. What a nice touch! Videos showing Sensatori also mentioned they are great for families...now just to make a decision! It is nice to see the starting price for a private dinner at $14, the options seem really great from what I saw online. Thanks for the feedback!
  18. Just wanted to say thanks Katie...I found it! Must be fairly new, as I had searched last week and didn't come up with anything.
  19. Katie...Thanks for the clarification! I really appreciate all the info. When doing a private dinner, are you able to use any portion from the silver or gold package towards it? It looks as though you chose a diff resort, Ocean Coral? The reviews I have read on Sensatori on Trip Advisor have me nervous...but the photos and great things I have heard really keep me hoping that it cant be as bad as its worst review!? I will def check out the 3 page of the thread for the Azul Beach info. On the other hand Amy, I have read SO many great things and hardly any bad reviews on Azul Beach. You are right it has been all positive. It does seem to have a lot of great amenities for families, which is super nice. My sister and husband will be traveling with their 4 year old and new baby and she would be over the moon about not having to pack all the extras! I did come across a pricing doc which I believe was for private dinners, cocktails, brunch options etc. Is this the pricing that would be used for the wedding as well? Thanks again ladies!
