Wow...ladies, I cant believe the weather was THAT crazy...I heard about the warning. I was in Red Deer and Ponoka area yest. Dee sorry to hear about the damage you suffered, thats terrible. Glad to hear no one was hurt. So I went to S2 today, ordered my dress. They were able to do the measurements right there! I think there was communication break down, so glad I didn't show up at Sonias for a fitting...weird though. Seems like the two girls are on diff pages. Nontheless...dress IS ordered and expect mid-end of January! Which is great, I didnt expect it to arrive so soon. Also went to the Bridal Expo today...great resources for local weddings...a few travel agencies there. They also had Ethos and House of Brides huge wedding dress sale. There were also registries and options for invitations, Buttercream bakery and options for cakes. Actually a great assortment of things. However, not as helpful for destination weddings I didn't find. Welcome to the Forum Emily! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hey Meghan, Yes it is the dress at S2...I was surprised when I called yest to find out that the fitting for measurements must be done at Sonias, and they do not take apts!? Weird...they rec apts to select and try on dresses...but to actually want to order one from them they dont take apts. Hmmm?? As for the quotes...I have the ones that I mentioned to you and have since (couple days ago) recieved quotes for the Azul resorts. I'm waiting to find out how there promotions will/ if any benefit us to have it with them? This is seriously taking longer than I would like...but I'm trying to stay positive and think it will only benefit me to not rush into it. Sounds like you have done some good OOT bag shopping...I posted on the other thread. Hope your all having a great week!

Congrats and Welcome! I am currently looking into the Azul resorts, actually azul beach in particular. I used trip advisor to check reviews and Azul beach seems to come out on top, in comparison to Azul Sensatori. The service sounds like it is top notch, being that it is a boutique hotel, less guests = better service I'm thinking. As far as Moon Palace goes, one of my best friends was married there and had a great time. I would suggest using the search to see what comes up for feedback from past and current brides. LOVE it!!! Black and Yellow looks so stunning. I love the "G"...Partial to it because my name starts with G! Really nice job. Was it diff to do. I would love to try and make one myself...I have a friend that is a graphic designer, that I hope to not depend on too much for things like this. I would like to have the satisfaction of doing it myself.

Hey Ladies...Great info! Ive done some looking around in Calgary at the Dollarama and Dollar stores. Walmart sounds like an awesome place to get things. I had seen during back to school large packs of hand sanitizer at Staples. Meghan those bags sound super cute! I wish I could get started on this...dragging still with not knowing when and how many guests. eek!

Nude to suit your skin tone is def the best, as the ladies have mentioned. Having modeled in the past this is what photographers request for under garments. Hope this helps.

I have not been to either resort...have you tried using the search engine to find out what other brides have thought of your two options? Secrets look like beautiful resorts, if I was having an adults only it would def be one of my choices as well. One thing that I have done to get a good overall idea and feedback of resorts considering is going on trip advisor...you will find current feedback and reviews of the resort as well as an overall rating. I have to say, after reading reviews on there, it has made me decide against certain resorts. Happy Planning!

Congrats and Welcome! Grand Riviera Princess was a resort I was originally looking at...I did come across a review on the forum. I would suggest using the search engine to find information current and past brides have posted. Wishing you all the best...it looks to be a great resort!

Congrats and welcome! The time of year that you choose will def have an impact on the price...low season vs high. If you dont have your heart set on a specific date this can work to your advantage as I believe pricing really starts to drop quite a bit in June..then July-Aug as it is quite hot. Welcome and Congrats! Cabo was one of my options when I was narrowing down locations in mexico. I had found wedding planners through searching on google. I would use the search engine on the forums as well and see what you are able to come up with. Happy Planning!
