vlynnw I think that is great advice! I would have to recommend the same thing. Check out resorts that you like, expedia is great like vlynn suggested, you can get a good idea for pricing as well as photos and feedback from past travelers. Happy Planning, you will find great information on the forum. I would also suggest using the search engine to find out info from current and past brides as far as their feedback/site inspections go at resorts you like. As LadyTrunck mentioned, I have also been using trip advisor to get current feedback. There are LOTS of great reviews on there. Wishing you all the best.

A GF of mine has the DVD's and loves it! She says that it is very challenging. One thing that she did recommend is buying weights and a chin up bar. Awesome to hear!

This is great news! I did love what PB had to offer...lots of attention to detail. Did I read that it will not be only exclusive to Sandals...that signature vacations may offer? So exciting...I wonder what price points?

Congrats and Welcome! I would say narrow down your location first. Whether it be Mexico, Dominican, Hawaii, the Carribean etc. From there you will need to either narrow down an area of say Mexico for example: Cancun, Mayan, Cabo etc. I would start with that, once you have decided on a few resorts then you can start looking into pricing. If you are looking for all inclusive, Mexico and Dominican will have more options as far as resorts go. Hawaii I don't believe offer many, if any all inclusives? However, Sandals/Beaches offer all inclusives in the Carribean. I had a friend that just got back from a wedding in Jamaica through Sandals and she said it was awesome....so really the options are endless. Congrats Meghan...I'm also an Alberta Bride! We are considering DPA as well. There is lots of information on many resorts as well as site inspections etc. I noticed a great posting today from a BDW member from Vancouver that booked her hotel separate from flights. She booked her flights through westjet who now has a groups department and offers a 10% discount to wedding parties! Great news for us out west. It might be something to consider. She has seen significant saving due to booking the wedding this way, $700 pp savings!! Why did you choose DPA over other Dreams resorts? Happy Planning!

Thanks SO much GinalynL! I was just going through the Dreams Riviera Cancun thread and had read that DRC is offering perks such as if you book 12 guests, you get the next guest free, as well as upgrades to ocean view rooms for all guests and kids stay free (I think the kids stay free is a standard Dreams offering, but not certain?) I'm hoping to do a site visit in September to get a better idea of the resorts. So I'm hoping to narrow down final choices before then. I think I would have done the same thing, upgraded the room rather than giving my FI a private room...not sure that its really needed as we have lived together for years! Thanks again for all the info!
