Andy&Cris replied to alin & mako's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hi Girls!!!! I can hightly recommend Fernando fuentes & Julius, I made my hair and make up test on my site inspetion visit they actually work with MAC they are awesowe!!! they can meet you at your hotel and make the sample there and of course the day of the wedding too his email is [email protected] and his web page is the-makeup-pros Cristina -
You should hire a wedding planner I hired Andrea Garcia [email protected], She can recommend you other options depending to your style, there are a lot of hotels hidden, small hotels with more privacy, I've seen pictures of weddings that are the bride and groom in the mittle of the ceremony and behind them is a lot of people in swimsuit It looks terrible!!! I'm getting married at Amarte Maroma Amarte at Maroma Bay | Mexico Yucatan Peninsula is a really beautiful hotel with just 50 rooms and an awesome beach

I WAS booked at the Gran Caribe Real but when I went to cancun to make the site inspection everything was so different of what they offer me, first they told me that the location for the reception was going to be under construction the day of my wedding!!! My brother is a profesional photographer and I told them that he was going to take my pictures, they wanted to charge me 450 usd for thant since he is a proffessional photographer and he doesn't work with them!!! I Hired a wedding planner Andrea Garcia [email protected] she saved me, she took me for site indpections to other hotels on the next day and now I finaly have my venues!! i'm getting married at Amarte Maroma Amarte at Maroma Bay | Mexico Yucatan Peninsula Andrea make a great deal with them and got me a lower rate for me and my guests. . As soon as I spoke with Andrea almost 1 1/2 yrs. ago I felt she understood my vision for my wedding. All of her vendors are very reputable and work well with each other. If possible I would highly recommend to set a week a side to meet all of your vendors. If not Andrea can easily obtain the right vendors for your type of wedding. If not I can provide you a list of the vendors I felt had the experience & quality of work we were looking for! There is an excellent book as a guide The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day by Mindy Weiss and Destination Wedding Book. In the wedding book -it provides a list of questions to ask each vendor. The Destination Wedding was also a great reference too. Good luck! Cristina,

Congratulations!!! I'm getting married at AMARTE in Maroma beach, I hired a wedding Planner her name is Andrea Garcia [email protected] In the begining I had a lot of reservations about having my wedding in Rivera Maya, Mexico but you do have access to a lot of the same resources you would have in the USA. As soon as I spoke with Andrea almost 1 year. ago I felt she understood my vision for my wedding. All of her vendors are very reputable and work well with each other. One of the recommendations I have is to set a side one day during the week to correspond to each other! I remember setting a day during the week where she would expect my email & I would expect a reply. Remember Mexico is on Mexico time. If possible I would highly recommend to set a week a side to meet all of your vendors. If not Andrea can easily obtain the right vendors for your type of wedding. If not I can provide you a list of the vendors I felt had the experience & quality of work we were looking for!
