I have a wedding coordinator that I am bringing with so I will ask her too.

Here's mine http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t41560 the wedding coordinators have changed and I think they use palm leaves now instead of the bamboo arch on the beach for the ceremony but other than that I think everything is pretty much the same. Good luck and happy planning! and remember, in the end all that matters is that you are marrying the man of your dreams. your wedding day will be perfect no matter what cause you can't get any better than the turquoise water and white sand beach as a backdrop. I like your last statement alot. I guess I feel panicky about everything because I just want my guests (that are spending a pretty penny) to have the time of their lives too. Sometimes all of this planning stuff just makes me want to elope, lol. Thanks so much and your threads have been particularly helpful.
  3. Thanks so much for this review. The longer the better and this one has been really helpful
  4. Hello, I noticed that you only rated your Wedding Reception a C. Hind sight being 20/20 what would you have done different if you could do it all over again?

Thanks, I will take the information from anyone just as long as its reliable ;0) I am still a little bit shakey about RMB because of the airport issue. Is that the reason why so many people talk about the drug dealers on the beach. I am not looking forward to having my mom be approached if you know what I mean. At any rate, who has the best pictures and info for RMB. I have actually been taking notes re: all of you guys this site has been a God send.

Our wedding is next year, but we've been looking at houses. We found one, and it's great. My fiance says we should push the wedding back and focus on the house. I say we should just continue with wedding, but on a smaller scale. What should be do? My fiance is concerned because we need to put down a deposit on the resort and provide $ for a down payment on the house in the same time frame. The house doesn't need a lot of work, but we do want to work on small cosmetic things, one at a time. Are we taking on too much? Should we wait another year to get married? I did not buy a house, but we are in the process of doing some major home renovations and this has been a real struggle for us. We had to postpone our wedding until Jul 2010 even though we were engaged in Feb. 2009 just to finish everything up. I didn't mind postponing a bit, but I can understand your concern. Ultimately its a very personal decision, but once you make one, you should stick with it. We hit a rocky patch a couple of times when I would spaz out about putting money into the house before we were married, but ultimately, both are very important to me. Would you and FI consider just going to JP for now, having the destination wedding as planned for the future date?

Was the heat unbearable, or were you saved by the ocean breeze. Also, what is the cost per guest to have a reception on the beach that way. I have not been a member long enough to open the attachments on this subject so any assistance you can provide will be helpful. Of course you know I have tons of other questions, if you are up to it, please PM me and may be can chat off line. You truly look beautiful and like you and your family had a wonderful time.

I am planning on ordering this dress: Caprice - by Maggie Sottero It does not have a corset back, and I am not entirely sure how much will be able to be taken in without it being an issue. I have just started a very aggressive weightloss program with a trainer that I will be doing until my wedding in April. Our goal together is for me to lose at least 30 pounds, and I am fully confident that I will do this. So my question to you wise ladies - should I buy my dress smaller or for my current size? Will it be able to be taken in enough without ruining it? Did anyone else buy their dress too small? Congratulations on your goal to lose, I am sure you will be successfully. My sincerest recommendation to you is to get the dress in your current size. If you lose the 30 lbs, let them take it in. The majority of people who do this, end up sabotaging themselves. Why do you think there are so many two dress brides, lol. But seriously, it creates a lot of unnecessary pressure on you and the last thing you need to think about is whether or not you will lose the weight or if you will lose it in the right areas. What if you no longer like the dress once you do lose the weight and can fit it? I am just against this idea all the way. No matter what you decide, good luck!
  10. Demetrios, Mori Lee and Alfred Angelo...Help me decide?
  11. So I have narrowed my dress options down to a Mori Lee option, a Demotrios Bridal Option and a Alfred Angelo option. All of them are strapless with mermaid sillouette and sweetheart neckline.

Well good luck and happy dress shopping, I have not purchased my dress but I am narrowed down to 3 that I have already tried on and taken pictures in, etc...My wedding is in July 2010 so I probably won't buy a dress until Dec/Jan.
