Hey ladies, I'm in the same boat. I have 1 best friend and she lives in a different state and is also engaged and just had a baby. Me and my fiance joke that I'm going to be like the movie "I love you man". I have a lot of people I know but nobody else who I am really close with and would ask to be in the wedding. I've always wanted the "sex in the city" clique of friends too! lol I do agree that a co-ed shower seems like a great solution. It might not make you completely forget about not having a posse but at least you won't feel alone and like someone said you have the support and love from your fiance. I know that always makes me feel better! I wish you luck! and congrats! Maybe all the BDW Brides in the same city can get together and have our own very magnificent, "sex in the city-ish" kind of Bridal Showers

adelaide- I have had no luck finding a bridal salon that has this dress to try on . Any suggestions girls? Im in NYC btw. I want the Blush with Ivory lace/Blush accent!!! I am still cyber stalking my dress lol. As much as I love the Rasharna, I really just don't want to buy it without trying it on and knowing for sure that it's "the one"

Exactly girl!! You are so right. Im thinking this will be the way I go becuz 1) I don't want to be tied down to one style for the entire vacay 2) I know I will be in the water alot and you know once you get the weave wet up its not as fresh anymore. 3) I can not let the salon do my hair! lol Idk I always have bad experiences at salons and end up wishing i just did my hair myself. So I'll probably wear my natural hair during our stay and bring along my trusty flat irons to touch it up as i go along and just search around for a really cute quick weave (I'll even spring for an expensive one lol I'm so cheap) and when the day comes you have a beautiful hair do in about a half hour.

I luv Mario Party 8. Its especially fun for a fame night with a group since you can play with 4 players. I also like Big Brain Academy, Mario Kart, and Wii sports has given me a serious appreciation for golf and tennis lol.

Hey guys! I have been reading this thread and I know there was some talk and confusion to what a quick weave is. I am the self proclaimed "quick weaver of the world" lol So I just thought I'd post some pics of me and my quick weaves. They are extremely convenient when you don't feel like doing your hair and need something quick. And like Billysbride said they are very inexpensive and easy to use. They can be a little shiny at first but as she said once you lay on it a few days you'll be good to go. They also have human hair ones that you can curl and etc for about $40 as well as "lace front" quick weaves. The last one is Super Shiny it was when I first got it. - me at MAC -in Miami -sorry about my "just woke up" face lol I was getting ready for work -in miami (I had multiple ones to switch it up! lol)

I can't stop eating Jamoca Almond Fudge baskin robbins ice cream. I have even been eating it for breakfast ..but in my defense its kinda like having a cup of coffee..kinda sorta lol

Hey Girls, Is it ok to just send the invite with all the info about the resort and booking in lieu of an STD? I am planning to get married Dec 2010 so I want to get the info to my guest so that they can start saving pronto! I feel like if I give them all the info they need from the start (pricing and etc), then that might help them better determine if they plan on going or not. If I send out the STDs I might get rsvp's that all say yes they'll come but then when I send out the actual invites with the pricing it might be a different story. My mother says it would be to overwhelming to hit guest with everything at once, but I think if I was invited to a DW I would want all the info at once so that I could be able to decide at once. If I did do this I would Prob send them out the end of this year maybe Nov or Dec. What do you guys think about this? Thanks a million!
