    I've purchased a few things from sellers in China, and *knock on wood* they've turned out OK thus far. I always check out the detailed feedback and read others' comments to see if the seller is a risk or not. If you do decide to purchase, post back with pics and your review.

    Congrats on booking! FI and I went to a wedding there last year...you made a great choice!! The wedding was beautiful & the resort is very big, but they have shuttles so you won't have any problems getting around. Let me know if you have any questions.

    I found the La Sposa Madeira dress I want - she has it up for auction on ebay as well as on her site. I emailed her and she wrote back saying that the dress will be the same as in the picture, but the only differences will be in the lace and appliques used because they can't clearly see the photos. I must admit, at first I was nervous about what the dress was going to look like, but she said it will look like the dress in the picture.

    Thanks Jacilynda! I think I may go with the standard sizing, only because I saw that she doesn't accept returns on custom orders.

    I'm so glad I ran across this thread! I've been eyeing a La Sposa dress but I don't want to pay that much $$ for a 2nd dress. It will just be for my vow renewal at our AHR. Jacilynda, thank so much for the detailed reviews on this ebay seller and posting about your experience. Your dress looks amazing and fits great!!!! For the price of the knockoff, I figure I can't go too wrong right. About their sizing, how exactly do they run - US standard or wedding gown sizes?

    I'm just reiterating what everyone else has said already...but it is your wedding, and you guys can make it as personal as you want. Since you already know who's going then you can just tell them the details, since there are only 8 going besides the two of you. Are you planning on having an AHR celebrating your marriage when you get back? If so, this would be a good time to send out invites to those who couldn't make the wedding. Since we are also missing out on the invites aspect for our wedding (it's just FI and I) we are going to step it up a notch and send out invites for our AHR. An option for you...
