  1. Another April 2010 Punta Cana bride, yay! Good luck to you and congratulations!
  2. its gorgeous for a reception. We went on a site visit about a month ago and im pretty much sold about having my reception there (initially I wanted a beach reception). It will be perfect and intimate for your guests. Great choice! Quote: Originally Posted by burkadaniels Currently I am booked to hold my reception on the Convention Terrance (for 35 people). If I have a dj will it be alright... Lisa
  3. I was looking on this site yesterday and was amazed by the prices and the dresses that they can make. For the prices, I could trash every single one of the those dresses (maybe two), lol. BTW—I can’t view your pics right now. But, I know you probably look awesome in it though! Can’t wait to take a peak. Kim
  4. I think it's so sexy. I wouldn't wear a veil though. Good luck. Quote: Originally Posted by bcbride RD1044 - by Maggie Sottero I need some honest opinions... do you think the flower strap on this dress is too much/cheesy? Any thoughts will be appreciated!

  7. Hey ladies. I just asked my TA to inquire about weekend dates in March and April of next year. I was surprised to see that no one has booked from this board. Is there something I should know about those months, lol?
  8. Gorgeous photos. You look so beautiful and you're working that cut. I just got mine cut in that exact style two weeks ago. Now im ready to work it ...like you that is.
  9. ::sheds tear:: Girl. you better go! you two are amazingly gorgeous. WOW oh WOW.
  10. Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I found your tip about getting married in the early afternoon during that time of year very helpful. I was so about to schedule a wedding at 4pm. Thanks again!
  11. Thank you so much for this review, very helpful!
  12. You looked so pretty. Loved your dress. Are those satin friggin pink shoes, you must tell me where you snagged those? Gorgeous! QUOTE=Samantha S;648797]Thanks for the tips! Well, I have a photobucket account but the instructions say it can only upload 5 or 10 minute videos and I think mine is about 30 minutes or so. Looking in to the Picasa one. I can probably pay to have it done at my work and its not that much-- I'll look in to it-- its worth it. :-)

I actually just posted somthg 2 see if anyone knows of any other resorts who offer somthg like that... TTYL, Des I'm off to check out those resorts! Good looking out!

Kind of like a co-ed shower for all the people who are attending the wedding and for those that were invited that cant make it. I say send out save the dates and get a feel for who is going. Right away youll start to get calls and people will start talking and you can get a feel of how many will be attneding. Then when you send out your invitations, send them to the people who you think are going for sure. Hope this helps... Good Luck That's an excellent idea I don't know why I didn't think about that. I would feel kind of bad just excluding people that I didn't "think" would come. I'm sure folks will back out at the last minute. That's cool. Ladies thanks for all your help. This forum is great!
  15. Karen it was sent to me via email by the wedding coordinator. I would post it but it exceeds the size limit. I will PM you with my email address to send it to you if you like. Kim
  16. Congrats Angel. Can't wait to see pictures! BTW I send you a PM, im also in VA and considering Dreams. Kim
  17. Hey ladies, Im pretty new to the site. But I have introduced myself in an earlier thread. Has or is anyone in a dilemma about how many guests to invite to your destination wedding. We are definite that we want to a destination wedding. Also we talked about having a HUGE reception affair when we return. However, when we started thinking about our guest list the list was freakin huge—and im almost positive that at least 40-60 people could be traveling with us, but that’s only 50% of our list. I put my desired wedding options in both a Dreams and a Paradisus wedding calculator and I nearly fell out at the baseline total—it was nearly 8,000 without all the extras. With all those people, I will feel compelled to have dinner, dancing and all the extras to show that we appreciate them joining us. At best we would like to spend no more than 10-12,000 for all wedding costs, including the reception. I am playing around with just keeping the wedding to a limited few and going with our first plan to have the huge reception. Or we can just invite every one of our guests and let them decide whether they want to accompany us and nix the at-home reception. If you can’t tell—I’m really confused on which way to go. I feel like I need to make a decision instead of holding my breath to see who confirms. Can anyone offer any advice? Anyone been in the same situation? TIA Kim

  19. Hey ladies, I’m Kim. I am in the early stages of planning a destination wedding. I know for sure that I am going to be a bridezilla—I’m stressed already! I'm not sure where I want to get married. But I would like to at least get married by the end of this year. I want some place absolutely gorgeous, with a nice pavilion by the beach, elegant and romantic rooms and super accommodating. We have a baby together, so we need some place that is child-friendly. Since we have pretty much broken all the rules I think I am at the point to just pick a gorgeous place, pick a date and make it happen. My soon-to-be (like literally any day now) fiancé is talking Tahiti--but I don't know if i'm going that far We will have to save that for a separate excursion. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free. I wish you all the very best! Kim
