  3. #2 is very pretty. Good luck deciding. Go with your heart.
  4. Oh wow. Such an awesome experience. I so would like to go but I think my mom would kill me.
  5. Yep I agree with Damaris...pink shoes would be hot with that dress. Check out Nine West. My bm's almost went with that look; however we still selected a dress with that pocket flavor...so hot! Keep us posted! Kim

Yep take it to your jeweler and they can re-dip/re-coat it for you with the stones or give it a good polishing. They won't have to remove the stones. They recommend that you do this once a year anyway. I know what you mean about "looking new" I wanna get mine done monthy Good luck.
  7. Thanks ladies for the generous comments. So glad that chapter is done.

I can laugh at it now but my sentiments remain the same it looks a hot mess! I need to be smacked buying a dress without trying it on. Thanks for being honest.
  10. lol. Im done looking I promise. Now I can just admire how pretty everyone else on here looks in their dresses! Thanks Kim

I live 10 min from the National Harbor and its a gorgeous place to get married, are you getting married at the Gaylord Hotel? Thank you! I grew up five minutes from the harbor. My parents live right there in Fort Washington. We may know each other Yes the ceremony will likely be at the Gaylord; however the reception will be held at a new venue that just opened that overlooks the water and the entire harbor. Im excited! Happy planning to you.
  12. Ladies thanks for all your kind, honest and encouraging comments. I had to take a couple days off of this wedding planning business and I am now seeing things from a new perspective. Unfortunately the original bridal shop only offered to give me back half of my deposit only towards another dress. I even had a chance to chat with the owner and she was so not willing to budge. Anyway I tried to put that behind me and really tried to find a dress--even if it wasn't in that store; and I found one. This whole ordeal really came as a shock to me and to put the icing on the cake I even shed a few tears through it all and my dress is safe and sound at my mom's house . Im happy with my decision and so glad that I can check "the dress" off my list. Thanks so much ladies. Here's the dress on the model: and then on me: Sorry there is not a better picture but the lady at the shop was kind enough to take a picture and send these to me as my phone was dead by this point.

Is there anyway you can change the other dress order? Thank you. Im crossing my fingers that I am able to change the dress; espcially since I found out that the sales person was working from an old sizing chart. Thanks! Kim
  14. Hey ladies: Does anyone know the designer of this dress? These are pictures from Elizabeth Medina's blog. Thanks! Jackie and John’s Greekxican Destination Wedding, Playa del Carmen, Mexico Elizabeth Medina Photography Thanks, Kim
  15. Ladies thank you all so much for your time and I really appreciate your honest critiques. I'm waiting for the bridal salon to open so I can find out what's the deal with the dress because if they have already started the order I know a refund is out of the question. So then I will probably be stuck with another dress. I think to get a dress altered that much would be hideous and furthermore I am so not interested in wearing the first one...uuggh. Thanks again and i will keep everyone posted. Kim

I will actually have 3.5 because I have a TTD that I can't use and need to get rid of. It's really getting out of hand and I've already thrown away a lot of money, but I honestly can't make up my mind. It's a long story how it became three dresses. The first time around I bought a GORGEOUS dress from a bride used and the chic lied about her measurements and it didn't fit.; so I was stuck with that one. The second one is in the one in the first pictures that I ordered sight unseen (and ordered way too big) and im working on my third. Can you tell im confused?! thanks for your help!

I definitely feel best in the second one but I feel like I need to keep looking but then again I feel like im running out of time. I have a call into the bridal salon where I ordered the dress but honestly have no idea what they will be able to do for me. I really dislike the first one on me. I cannot see myself walking down the aisle with that on.
  18. ...someone please save me. I think I am going to go insane with this wedding planning! I really don't know whether I am coming or going anymore. Just when I think I got things under control; they get worse. I just recently moved my wedding back home--Stress #1 Stress #2 I buy/order my dress about a month ago without seeing it. BAD mistake #1! Something in my mind today was like, "Kim call around to see if anyone has your dress so you can finally try it on." Ok, Bingo-I found it at a local boutique. Ladies when I say this dress is a trainwreck. Whoa! It looked a hot mess on me. Pics below. To make matters worse, the sample is a 12--the lady convinced me that I needed a size 16 (keep in mind I am holding the dress in the picture) OMG. Now I have ordered a baggy HOT mess. I'm pissed! Oh let me also not forget to mention that this is like DRESS #3 for me = STRESS #3 STRESS #4 Im running out of time and the kind sales lady today offered a Maggie dress to me. Side note: Ever since I moved the wedding back home I have been playing around with the option of getting a more traditional gown. I was even pondering a trip to Kleinfelds and getting one of those obnoxiously huge dresses (only because that's my ideal dress stye)--"thanks" to you ladies. Until this forum I never knew what a "Kleinfelds" was. Anyway, so I try the dress on and I kind of like it. But I need your thoughts because one of the reasons why I am in this predicament is because I keep going to bridal shops by myself and making crazy last minute decisions. So what do you ladies think? Its actually pretty affordable and I can purchase the sample for 15% off.
  19. ohhh. Me like your dress alot, lol. Very pretty. I think if you get some BAD, dangly earrings that should do the trick.
  20. I wouldn't make any excuses for her because her actions are just trifling and unacceptable. Whatever the reason is; it doesn't stop her from picking up the phone and opening her mouth. When she does finally get in contact with you. I say keep a smile on your face and basically keep it moving. No one has time for that drama! Kim
  21. Oh yeah that's a bad dress! Sorry I can't help you out but good luck finding it.
