So did any of you do the ceremony on the beach? FI is a surfer and I'm a beach lover so the whole point of us going away is to get married on the beach. I guess I'll be okay as long as I know people may be gawking or in pictures. (which we may not even do pro-pics anyway since we're on an extremely TIGHT budget) That's why I was hoping for a later wedding time, but maybe she can make it later once we are there since she said it was "subject to change." Thank you for letting me the the agreement form isn't that big of a deal. I was stressing trying to figure out how many people to put since I really have no idea! Also, in my original email to Carolina I told her I wanted a beach ceremony. In her reply email she said "About the location, we can perform the ceremony on the beach, but it will be a lot of people trying to take a look of the ceremony and will depend on the weather conditions too." I kind of felt like she was trying to talk me out of having the beach ceremony, but maybe she was just trying to prepare me. I just thought it was weird. She ever say this to anyone else looking for a beach ceremony?

So I am officially booked for April 28, 2011! I ended up emailing Carolina again today since it was 5 days I last heard from her and was getting nervous that maybe she didn't get my email. So I put "wedding confirmation" in the subject and she responded within an hour! I was so excited!!!! So she sent me an "agreement" form and told me to mail it. So where does it get mailed to? And what did you all do when it asked for the number of guests? We really have no idea how many people will come so what should we put for number of guests? I am sooo happy right now! Our stay at the resort is booked and Carolina confirmed our date... I feel like so much weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! *sorry for all of the exclamation marks! I am just SUPER excited now!*

For the rooms. We booked the royal side for 2 weeks, the first week with our guest on all on the Punta Cana side. I didn't look for a wedding dress yet since I am trying to go simple and every female I talk to is like, "OMG! You need to get a dress ASAP!" And since our date isn't officially confirmed with Carolina I didn't send out STD's or anything... so the girls (friends/family) are freaking about that as well. I am trying to make it simple, but I feel like everyone is putting this additional pressure on me! I am sure you all have went through this stuff as well... but does it EVER end? LOL!

MilitaryMrs.s-to be.... Thank you for the information! I think I will give her until this Friday to respond, and then maybe resend my e-mail to her. She seems really nice and helpful. I am sure she is just busy with weddings. I can't imagine how many people she has to deal with. sap.... I think I may just do that. I'll book the Junior Suite and you can let me know how the Romance Suite is. Then, maybe we'll upgrade. I think if we were just going for our honeymoon we would do the Royal Section, but I don't want to be secluded from everyone else. You must be getting so excited now that your date is almost here! I can't wait to hear how everything goes!

carribbeanLover... We are planning to do the ROV ceremony since we will legally be married here before we leave. I am guessing a judge isn't needed for this but I could be wrong. Thanks for your help! Did you email about your date or time or did you fill out a form on the palladium weddings website?

All of you girls are THE BEST! You are all so helpful! I greatly appreciate it! Just one other question... if I email the WC requesting a date and a time (or fill out the online form), will I get any other type of confirmation since I am not paying a deposit? I just don't want to get there and them have no knowledge of my wedding taking place. Anyone experience any problems or suggest what to do to prevent these problems from occurring? So I have a few more questions that hopefully someone knows the answer too. Kenia (the WC assistant) sent me the 2010 ROV packages since 2011 isn't out yet. 1. Does the ROV ceremony prices increase drastically from year to year? I want to book NOW but if the price doubles I will have a heart attack lol. 2. How do you reserve your date and time? Since its a ROV can we just have it any time we want? I don't know if a judge does the ROV or if the WC does. Anyone know? I am thinking 5-6pm is best but I really don't know how it works. 3. And from experience, would it be better to get married on a Thursday or Friday? 4. Is a deposit required? 5. Are outside photographers permitted? Sorry for all of the questions. I have been trying to read this whole thread but I still have a few questions... sorry if they have been addressed but after 3 hours I gave up and figured I'd just post my questions lol. I am trying to make a FINAL decision but its so difficult! 1. We are looking into the Bavaro Section Romance Suites, but is the Royal Turquesa worth the extra cost? 2. We are looking into doing the ROV ceremony on the beach and semi-private reception that is included. Is there a limit on how many people are included in the price? And I saw some people say the WC said it was first come first serve on the restaurants. Are you at least guaranteed SOME place if there are multiple weddings? 3. I see the "Imperial Club" mentioned. My TA never mentioned anything about it. Is that something special or are only certain people eligible? 4. Has anyone ever been over spring break? Because I am a teacher, we will most likely leave the Monday or Tuesday after Easter. Is this a common place families go? Thanks in advance!

I am interested in what their weddings are like as well. My travel agent said the resort is new and she recommended it.... but I need a little more info on the weddings before I make a decision. Anyone ever been there or know about their wedding packages?
