  1. I just booked my wedding at Buena Vista Villas in Manuel Antonio for Feb 6, 2010!! It's sooo perfect- I can't believe I didn't see this place sooner! Buena Vista Luxury Villas - Tulemar Beach No on to the fun stuff- can't wait to start planning!!

If you're not getting a response in a timely fashion, try sending info to one of the other locations and they'll probably reply faster. I found that the CR location had the slowest response time. The packages are cookie cutter. If all of your guests stay at the hotel, the food package is cheap b/c you'll just be paying for someone to serve the meals. You'll have to pay for the guests to come on the property and the meals and drinks if they're not staying at the hotel since it's all inclusive. They do have a few menu options. The wedding packages are cheap but the rooms are pricey. I would also recommend asking for lots of photos or events other than the ones from the brochure. They tend to include the nicest photos in the brochure. I just started looking at different Costa Rica photog blogs to find cute spots before I finally settled on my location. It was difficult at first b/c I couldn't find a lot of photos of the resorts that I was intersted in. It's not going to help you to look at wedding photos at the beach all day. You want to see getting ready photos or photos from the reception if the reception was inside. I also found a wedding coordinator in Costa Rica that had lots of suggestions. Hope this helps. Good luck! Hi Amcarter- where did you decide to have your wedding? At Pacifico Beach Club? We have narrowed down our list to a couple places and that is #1 for me right now. Have you decided where you are staying? I'm looking at the Octoal or Villas Sol. I loved the Flamingo Beach Resort, but heard it's quite far from Playa de Coco. I'd love to know where you and your guests are staying!
  3. To all the CR brides out there- which WC did you go with? I've talked with a couple- Sylvia for Parisdise Weddings and Tropical Occassions, but just wondering which to go with. Such an important choice and I really like them both! Thanks!!!
  4. Hi- We orginally were getting married in Puerto Vallarta and recently made the decision to switch locations. We have decided Costa Rica is the perfect place!! I have narrowed it down to a couple hotels and Flamingo is one of them. It looks like it has been updated and although there is only one restaurant, the menu looks really good. My concern is that it is too small (we both come from divorced families) I love the paradisus but it is way to $$ for our guests. We have never been to Costa Rica before so any reccommendations would help. I'm looking for suggestions in the guanacaste area since it's pretty close to LIR and easy for ppl to travel. Big pool area and beach are two musts for the FI. For our honeymoon i'd love to go to manuel antonio. Any feedback is much appriciated! Val
  5. Welcome and Congrats! As a fellow Newbie- i can tell you this site is awesome! I love that you are getting married on Valentines Day!
  6. I'm so excited to see some posts and hear other brides are looking at La Romana! My FI and I just agreed this past weekend to change our location (was orignally Puerto Vallarta) and I saw a picture of the church in Destination WEddings Magazine and I wondered how i could have overlooked it in the first place! I would love if someone could send me pictures or reccommened at WC. I've requested info on Casa De Campo and Dreams La Romana's website, but haven't heard back from either one of them yet.
  7. Wow- I know this tread is a couple months old, but this is VERY helpful information. We orginally were planning on getting married in Puerto Vallarta but have recenently decided to switch locations. Yesterday I saw pictures of The Church of St. Stanislaus and fell in love! And I saw the Dreams La Romana and wanted to know if this was an option to have the wedding at the Church and the reception at the Dreams. Thanks!!! Has anyone stayed at the Casa De Campo? It seems nice, just REALLY big!
  8. Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome! this site is amazing- has everything you need to know about destination weddings! i'm so glad i found you guys.
  9. Hi! My name is Valerie and we are getting married in Puerto Vallarta on February 20, 2010. We have narrowed it down to either Dreams Puerto Vallarta or Las Caletas. Does anyone have advice on either one of them?
