  1. Mine came from Target, in the dollar bins when you first enter the store. I think it was Feb or March when they were in. I would just keep checking back, that's the only place I was able to find them.

The stamp came from lovetocreatestamps on etsy. I had her change the font on our names so it's a little different than the one on her site. I ordered the stamp one afternoon and it was in my mailbox the next day! She's awesome!
  3. I had Ginger from Beyond Design on Etsy design our passport save the dates and I am thrilled with the results. She does fabulous work and was so helpful with all of my changes along the way! I highly recommend her! My wonderful sister-in-law helped me emboss our return address on the envelopes using a stamp also purchased on etsy.

Honestly, finding a location and booking the site was by far the most overwhelming part thus far. For me it got easier once that was done! Congrats and good luck!
  5. Congrats! Thanks so much for the wonderful review!

My FI and I are planning on doing a site visit next month as well Hi knbell22 - we are getting married the day before you and have booked rev Marco as well! So far he has been great to work with! Congrats!

Maybe you ladies could check it out and give me some advice? I would appreciate it! Patrick & Donielle

Even around Christmas time we were able to get our items within two weeks, instead of the stated 21 days.
  9. We're getting married June 10th, 2011 at Cabo del Sol! Our guests are staying at Villa la Estancia. We've booked our photographer and minister thus far, and save the date passports are going out this week! Thanks for starting this thread and Congrats ladies!!
  10. Hi all, I purchased a return address stamp yesterday from etsy seller lovetocreatestamps I bought it late last night and already received notification early this morning that it had been shipped! A friend of mine purchased a self inking stamp from her and is thrilled with the quality. Here's an example of the one I ordered. I had her change the fonts of our names to match our invitations as well.

  14. We looked into trying the villa wedding and reception, but in the end just could not justify the price. Many of the villas have an event fee and a minimum rental period of 4 nights. I think villa weddings are absolutely gorgeous if you can do it though! Check out cabovillas.com, and loscabosweddingvendors.com. The most affordable rates are at vrbo.com. I was even able to find a few of the villas from cabovillas.com on vrbo for 1/3 of the price of cabovillas. I am attaching a booklet from a vendor that rents the villas and also coordinates food, rentals, etc. Towards the end it shows the villas and the max capacity they have for events. Hopefully this will give you some ideas. Let me know if you need anything else, we did quite a bit of research on villas before deciding on Cabo del Sol. Good Luck! Donielle Weddings By ESSV[1].pdf
  15. Hi Kiwibride, Maria is no longer the wedding coordinator either...now the coordinator is Luz Maria. The changes are frustrating, but I have been thrilled with Luz Maria thus far. Her e-mail is [email protected] Hope this helps! Donie
  16. Thank you so much for posting. Looks like I'll need to go renew mine sooner than planned!
  17. Your pictures are gorgeous and it sounds like everything went wonderfully! Thanks for sharing and congrats!
  18. Hi Stacey, We are not getting married at Villa del Arco, but our guests are staying at Villa la Estancia, one of the sister properties. We stayed at Estancia during a site visit and fell in love with it. I have heard that Arco is very similar in style, although we didn't make it over there to tour the property. We did find the best rates through estanciacabo.com - and Bob, the owner, also handles rentals at Arco. That may be looking into if you are not using a TA. Best Wishes and Congrats!
  19. I was so excited to see this review and it's looks like you had an incredible wedding despite all the flight drama! So glad things went so well for you once you finally made it to Cabo! Thanks for the review and I can't wait to see your pictures!!
  20. We actually planned weddings in both places (PV and Cabo - but not at Dreams) and eventually decided on Cabo. We are getting married at Cabo del Sol golf course, which we fell in love with, so I can't really speak for Dreams. As far as the town though, it's all a matter of personal preference, like Jess said. Cabo is the desert, PV is the jungle. PV is more authentic, but Cabo is still authentic in comparison to some of the other touristy hot spots in Mexico. I don't know how far Dreams PV is from town, but it's important to note that Dreams Cabo is in San Jose del Cabo - so if your guests want to enjoy downtown Cabo San Lucas it's about a 25 minute rather pricey cab ride to town. Good Luck and Happy Planning!!
