I read that you are supposed to consume 24-40 grams of fiber a day while dieting. You have to work up to it otherwise you will get all clogged up. I haven't managed to get over 24 g in a day and that's putting metaumucil in my water 3 times a day. It certainly helps stop the hunger pains though. Lunch: Subway 6 in. sub under 6 grams of fat and under 350 calories if you use the wheat bread, no mayo, oil or cheese Salad w/ spinach, teriyaki chicken breast (from Costco), 1/2 avocado, and 7 grape tomatoes seasoned with lemon juice & pepper - 300 calories Snacks: I like the Kashi Almond & Honey Flax bars. 140 calories & 4 grams of fiber. Apple slices or celery & peanut butter Plain Greek Yogurt w/ berries
  2. Any resort will hold a private ceremony for just the two of you. The trick is to negotiate a price that includes only what you want it to.

This isn't your full time job and you have a completely different environment. Keep up the good job girls.
  4. Just sent you mine from my phone. Let me know if you don't get it.
  5. 2 lbs a week is doable but it means that you need to reduce your net calories by 1,000/day, so you should definitely start tracking your calories if you haven't already started.
  6. Welcome. I used to live in Santa Monica and still have friends and co-workers in Redondo Beach.
  7. Thanks for all the kind words girls. Natale, I just responded to your e-mail. Sometimes my e-mails get caught in the spam filters so let me know if you do not receive it.
  8. You might want to try My Yoga Online - Yoga Videos Pilates Meditation Downloads It's $10/month and you have accesss to 30-40 yoga streaming videos.
  9. You look absolutely beautiful. Elizabeth did an amazing job. I loved your color choices and decorations throughout. A very well planned event. Great job!

I'll have to give it a try when I get back! mwah! No, it's not. In fact, the yoga journal states that it is supposed to be quite soothing to your stomach - not quite sure what that means. Have a fantastic vacation. I'm excited for you. Melissa - I'm so sorry that you get so sick every month. I really think that women's plumbing is not one of God's greatest ideas. Hols - well that will keep you on track:)
  11. Tulum is my favorite. I also like Al Cielo/Essencia near Xpu-Ha and Le Reve just north of Playa. I took a few clients on a scouting trip in November, here is the feedback. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...11-15-a-48981/
  12. Saphire, Pore size is mostly about genetics, but they can get larger when they are dirty. So a series of cleansing facials (even at home) should help a little, but this isn't something you can chemically alter. Try using a heated clay mask followed by a Neutrogena nose strip once a week.
  13. I've been using pumkin that I baked after Halloween. But I just ran out so I'll be using canned pumkin for the rest of the year. Just don't buy the sweetened stuff. If it doesn't bother your stomach you can find lots of recipes on the web. My family really enjoys it but I didn't tell them what it was at first
  14. Amanda can you have pumpkin? My husband has really bad GERD and can't eat tomatoes. I started making spaghetti sauce out of pumpkin. I sauted some onions and added in sage and cinnamon. Everyone enjoyed it and we don't ever have GERD flair ups when I cook pumpkin. I was bad and ate a whole carnitas rajas burrito sans rice & beans but ate the chips from Rubio's (800 calories)but I made up for it by going to the gym and burned off 600 on the elliptical. So I'm pretty happy with myself.
  15. The alcohol challenge is the worst. Tiff - it sounds like you have a good plan for next week. Don't get done. You'll sweat it all out in yoga today.

I made him set an alarm to go off at 10:00 and noon to remind him to eat. Then I keep him stocked with apples and Kashi granola bars. Yay for losing weight guys. I'm OCD and step on the scale every day. I'm terrible.

  18. Are you wanting a beach? If not, then I might suggest Merida, which is where Elizabeth is based. Gabriela at [email protected] is really nice to work with. I didn't choose her as my coordinator but it was only because I didn't have my wedding in Merida. She is American and puts together reasonable, clear budgets and prices. If you do want a beach, you might want to check with Julieta at [email protected]. She is a local wedding coordinator in Cancun. She does a lot of weddings at private properties and the last time I was in the RM she was restoring an old house.
  19. Welcome Kim, How many guests are you considering? A lot of girls who want something intimate head out to Akumal, Soliman Bay, or Tulum - which is about 2 hours south of Cancun. You may also want to consider Holbox if you have a small enough party. I took a group site scouting in the Riviera Maya in November. Here are some of our thoughts. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...11-15-a-48981/
  20. Just sent it to you. My hubby always takes the worst pictures of me. I always look drunk and half asleep. Since he used to be a professional photographer, I know he's doing it just to get my goat. Thanks!
  21. My Problem: Only have 30-60 minutes to exercise each day Only interest in exercise lately seems to be yoga Very sedentary lifestyle - some days I can spend 12 hours at a desk Result: Only burn 150-300 calories per workout Solution: Add a 5 minute set of jump roping in to my schedule. This burns an extra 50 calories per set. I've managed to work up to 2 rounds: 6 minutes jump roping 15 push ups 30 crunches An extra 150 calories burned What's your problem/solution?
  22. Welcome Rafaele! It's great to see you here.
  23. I started having microdermabrasion facials about a year before my wedding. The last three months I also had a chemical peel. didn't have any reaction at all - but everyone is different and it all depends on what kind of peel you have. I think my non-reaction was largely because my aesthician knew my face and because my face was "in shape" for it. If you haven't had this done before and don't have a technician that knows your skin, I might suggest just getting a microdermabrasion, but ask them what kind of machine they use. The old technology is a wand that shoots finite particles on your face and then vacuums it up. The newer tool is a vibrating metal spatula. I like the newer one better.
  24. I've got thunder thighs too. Are you girls sending in bathing suit shots? I was going to do jeans and a tank. I figured my jeans are tight enough that we can still see the difference. Also - I just read this article. It's a little dry but makes a lot of sense. It explains that your food proportion should be 13% carbs, 33% protein and 53% fat in order to lose weight. It also says that you should keep your suguars down because you burn fat when your insulin levels are low. It's made me decide to start having an egg for breakfast instead of my yogurt because my 100 calorie yogurt has 14 grams of sugar. How to Diet to Lose Weight (Page 1 of 3) Good luck girls.
