I just really need to share... I have been spending endless hours on wedding planning and many DIY projects. All of which I love because I am "that girl" and wouldn't have it any other way. No complaints. Although my FI has been watching me as I go along with all of this...I don't think he was really aware of how much I had on the go until now...because it's done and all ready to be put together. SO...now he is excited and ready to be involved which is wonderful...or so I thought!! In my head...I've always had a "plan" of how things need to go...and I do admit that I am fairly stubborn. Since I've been doing this by myself for months...my stubborness doesn't seem like it would be a problem. Enter FI... Last week he starts folding our Spanish guides...does about 5 (out of 30) and decides that is enough for him for the day. Two nights ago he starts putting luggage tags together complete with the inserts and straps...but needs to take a few breaks because "its alot of work". He also helped to do the stickers on the bubbles but made his and hers piles...so when he was done his pile...he was done...no helping with my pile. Last night he helps me cut out our boarding pass invitations and once again when he was done (but I wasn't done my pile yet)...that was it..."lets go" and "hurry" because we were on our way out for supper. All along he has been making comments such as "Wow...ok that's 2 hours of time that I've put into wedding crap now"...like he's making a tally of the hours and minutes he's contributed. So...fast forward 3 hours...and now we're putting piles together of what needs to go into each persons OOT bag. I have ponytails of all different sizes and I seperate them into piles because I also know that I think I'm going to be short of the big thick ones...therefore they need to be given to the people with long thick hair...(I know, totally anal). FI says to put all the piles together and just start dropping a bunch in each OOT bag pile (totally NOT anal). I say no because they've gotta be done this way (with brief explanation). He gives it about a minute...then gets up and says "don't ask me to help out with any more wedding stuff EVER again"...and he's mad! I know he sounds like such an a**...LOL...and he's really not...and I truly appreciate his help and the fact that he even wants to help...but man he is gettin' on my last nerve about all of this stuff!!! Everything worked out...because an hour later we had our "talk" and he expressed that "my way" is not always the right way...LOL...so really I know that the issue wasn't the ponytails OMG...fighting over ponytails!!! Can you believe it

What are you walking down the Aisle to?

This is what I am "thinking" but I better run it by the Groom first...and the BDWer's as well Processional - Somewhere over the Rainbow (Isreal K) Bride Processional - Canon in D (Pachabel...sp?) Signing the Marriage Certificate - This Ring (Anthony W Carter) Recessional - I'm Yours (Jason Mraz) First Dance - Dance with Me (Anthony W Carter) Father Daughter Mother Son Dance - Love is All Around Us (The Troggs) I'm stumped on a few songs...and hoping that you might have a few suggestions for these ones... Cake Cutting - My MOH / best friends daughter is going to sing us a song. I am unsure of what song she should sing. She has an absolutely beautiful voice and it's a bit of a surprise (only me and my MOH know). I need to record some music before we go but don't know what song to choose. She is 10 years old and loves Hilary Duff, Hannah Montana, Taylor Swift. We were initially thinking "Love Story" but the words behind it don't really suit us...but then again...it's a pretty song. Any suggestions? -

Hi Turtlewax15...do you know if you had to pay for him to come into the resort? Or was that included in the price that you paid to the resort for him?

I absolutely agree that you should do what YOU want to do...it's YOUR day...well one of them anyways In my group of friends...I am the planner...so of course it's no surprise that when my BM's and I started talking about the bridal shower / stagette...I told them exactly what I envisioned. It's nothing fancy or extreme. Just a good time with the friends and family that I adore...playing some cheesy games (when else do you get to do that?!?!)...and having some food and drinks. I can't wait!! Don't be afraid to tell them what you want to do...because everybody will have a good time as long as you are having a good time!! That's what friendship is all about

Jennifer I think they are both fantastic!! From what I can remember when we were there...Gran Tortuga had a better food selection (steakhouse)...and Tequila had more of a Mexcian ambience. I guess it really depends on what you're going for. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way though...

Hi...I have 6 Spanish for Dummies pocket books...but live in Canada so the shipping may be a little more expensive than usual. If you send me your zip code...I can try to calculate it if you're interested.

Please HELP!! I am making my own programs and I asked Karla about the order of the ceremony but she didn't have anything official. The only thing she said was... "Sorry I do not have a copy of his ceremony, usually he start with a pray, then talk about the couple, marriage , love, makes a blessisng, exchange rings, vows, adn declares you husband and wife. In general this is the order, if you want to make other kind of ceremony just let me know and I will tell to the Minister there is no problem. You will do your own program" I'm not positive...but I think it's only missing the part about signing the registry (?)...and then we would want to add vows to our kids. Is there anyone that might have something that I can use for reference? Has anyone else done their own programs? THANKS

I think we are paying about $550 for 4 hours. I found that he is super quick at replying to emails...

I confess that I am OBSESSED with shopping for OOT bag items!! I go from store to store to store...trying to find the best deal...and end up buying NOTHING!! I am totally wasting my time and then stress right out because I feel like I am running out of time to get the other "more important" things done!! Confession or vent?!?! LOL... But hey...on a bright note...anyone want to know all the brands / quantities / prices of hand sanitizers that the stores are selling these days?!?! LOL...
