Michaels has a few nice baskets...but they are white. I'm sure you could add your own touches to them by adding orange and pink ribbons to them? I've also seen them at almost every bridal shop that I've been into lately...but once again...all in white. Good luck in your search!!

Ok...ok...the pressure for pictures!! LOL... I'm on the way out the door right now but I will try to figure out how to post the pictures later tonight. Everything that I've tried so far hasn't worked. -

Thanks!! The only pictures that I have are the ones from the manufacturer's websites. The wedding dress is a Bonny Unforgettable #1816 and the bridesmaid dresses are Dessy - After Six #6554 in celestial blue...and the MOH has white trim while the bridesmaids have blue. I'm just so nervous about ordering online...but it's a done deal now and all I can do is think positively and hope for the best -
My heart is racing and I feel so nervous...I just ordered my wedding dress and 4 bridesmaid dresses online!! I took a leap of faith and clicked on the "order now" button through ebridalsuperstore.com I'm sure it will all be fine...but it's so bizarre to have it so "final". No more shopping, no more online searches, no more price comparisons...weird...LOL... Now I can't wait for August...when the dresses come in

That seemed to work...thanks Ladies

For Sale Spanish for Dummies Books
emme replied to Corvette79's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
Just wondering if you have any of these books left? -
Is anyone else having problems with timing out? I find that I read a few pages of a thread and then when I go to post anything...my login has booted me out. Is there a time limit of how long you can be connected to BDW?

Hi Colin, In our case, we emailed Paloma and asked if Oct 15 or Oct 16 was available. She replied with the times and locations available for each day and sent me a form to complete and email back to her. Once she processed things on her end, she emailed me a confirmation that we were "pre-booked" and would go ahead with more details once our travel plans were secure. I believe that she has people complete this form if they're "serious" about pre-booking and holding a date...as I'm sure they get a ton of inquiries that never turn into anything. There are questions on this form that you won't be able to complete (ie. booking number, tour operator, etc...) until your travel plans are booked. All that she is really looking for in the beginning is the basics (ie. names, dates, etc...) then you can just add the rest of the information later. We also have the same plans at Jules...to stay at Coba and have our wedding at the Tulum gazebo. Most of us are travelling out of Calgary and we're going through Air Canada Vacations who (surprisingly) have had really good packages on lately. We have a group rate but it's only about $150 off the online rates. From what I understand...Paloma is the main group / wedding co-ordinator (the manager of the group department??)...and then she passes the information on to the specific hotel's co-ordinator. I think there are 3 wedding co-ordinators (1 for each...Coba, Akumal, Tulum) and that's who you deal with for the rest of your plans...and Paloma oversees everything (if you ran into trouble). Is this what everybody else thinks too? Please correct me if I'm way off... Hope this helps everyone out I will keep you all posted once I get more details...because we're planning for a pooside reception with a DJ so I'm sure I can provide some tips when it comes to that as well...

Dang! I'm always a day too late on the Spanish for Dummies books...LOL

Wishing you all the Best Heidi!! Although...you don't really need luck...judging from the weather...you picked the perfect time to go!! As I freeze my butt off here in snowy Alberta...I am thinking of you sitting in the sun on the beach with a drink in hand!! What do we expect for May long weekend though right?!?! Congratulations!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back...

Here's his email address... [email protected] But I can't remember his website address...sorry... I sent him an email and he got back to me within 24 hours so he's very quick!! Impressive!! Unfortunately he was already booked for the date of our wedding.

We're thinking about Bubba Kegs (midsize) with a clear label with our monogram on it. This way, people can also peel the logo off after the trip and use the bubba kegs... Are we on the same page with all of this? Please keep me posted...thanks

I never really think too much about points...until I REALLY want to download something...LOL...then I stress out and think if only I would have posted more!! I'm all about the reading...

Thanks tlseege...I've read plenty of your tips and they're always helpful. Please fill me in on a bit more DJ information if you can. How is his music selection? Should we contact him before we go? Should we bring a CD of our own? Is he open to requests? Geez...maybe he's already booked? I better check that out right away. Hi Jules...we'll have to keep each other posted on all of our plans...and hopefully be able to help each other out. Is your fiance's friend also on this website too? It sure is full of so much information!! Happy Birthday to your fiance...let him know its our gift to him...heehee...

Thanks Ladies... We went to the GBP in 2007 and it's were we got engaged...so it's a bit sentimental for us!! We stayed in the Coba section and were quite pleased...so that is where we booked into this time as well. From reading all of the posts...what I'm hoping for is... - a wedding in the Tulum gazebo - dinner at any one of the ala cartes (any recommendations?) - poolside reception with drinks and DJ Does anyone know which pool they use at Coba? I am hoping for the NON-activity pool because that is "where" we got engaged. Now I just need to try to bump the actual wedding from 2 until 3pm (depending on the minister)...and find a DJ (Bob is booked - boo!)...and find a photographer!! And...last but not least...hope for beautiful weather!!
-
Wow...it's all so confusing!! Giovanni sounds like the best route to go. I should just contact them and forward them the information that our WC sent to us...?? My sister was married in Nuevo Vallarta a few years ago and all of the paperwork seemed like a hassle...and now I'm reliving the moment...hahahaha...

I am so excited....we are "officially" booked!! The date, time, and location has been reserved...the deposits have been applied to our travel packages...now comes the planning!! I've been following the thread for a couple of months...but will have to go back to the beginning and start taking notes along the way. It took me a full weekend to read through the first 140 pages and now there's even more...yikes!!

I wish you all the best and hope that you will all find "paradise" in your backup plans. To Tylersgirl...OMG...focus on the friends and family that are there for you because I would be livid with the other ones!! Unfriggenbelievable!! To all of the other brides who are going through the whole "what if" ordeal and wondering who will go / not go...I feel for you all and can totally relate. We have JUST put the word out of our plans. Just mailed the "save the dates" and package information...and now this?!?! Seriously...who is going to book a Mexican vacation with all of this nonsense going on? I can't say I blame them...but I just don't know if I should go forward or put things off...again. This is the second time things have been on hold due to incredibly crappy situations and "unforeseen circumstances". Sheesh...enough already. Thanks to all the BDW brides...because I have found so much information and comfort in all of your posts. This forum is amazing!! Best of luck to everyone!!! I really hope it all works out

Any Canadian brides???
emme replied to lolo's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Hi everybody...I'm from Red Deer, Alberta. We're getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico in October 2009!! Is anyone else from Alberta getting married in Mexico? Any tips on translating documents and things like that?
