  1. I love this show...ooooh the drama!! I'm so happy Ed is back!! I agree with kat81 that the last two will be Ed and Kypton. I also agree with everyone that Wes is a douche...and poor Jake for trying to do the right thing. I always thought Jake was one of my favorites...but he does come across as a bit "too much"...nice guy but no depth maybe? I don't know...can't put my finger on it. As for Michael...oh my...I almost cried!! He's never been my pick...but what he said in his exit interview was just beautiful...
  2. I can't wait...it's one of my faves along with The Bachelorette and The Amazing Race
  3. All great nominations!! Good luck to everyone... B2B - tylersgirl Mrs - heidi_lk
  4. Very impressive response from the SIL's husband...so obviously she'll give in if EVERYone else goes!! She sounds like the type that wouldn't want to miss out...lol...
  5. Oh my...I can't even imagine!?!?! Surely there must be other travel options? No charters for direct flights? Could you pay for a portion of their travel? Hmmmm...I don't know what to say...other than I completely feel for you!!
  6. Congratulations!! Happy planning...
  7. Nyssa...I am soooooo happy for you that everything turned out amazingly!! Your pictures are absolutely beautiful
  8. What a fantastic thread!! I can't wait to see everyone else's great tips and finds!! 1. Registry: Not registering... 2. OOT bags: West Coast Lanyards (US), La Fresh (US), Koyal Wholesale (US), Micheals, Walmart, Dollarama, Vistaprint...and still looking for a 20 oz Bubba Keg supplier. The US suppliers listed were great because of their low prices (even with the conversion) and their low shipping rates to Canada. 3. Wedding Attire: Bride - ebridalsuperstore Bridesmaids - ebridalsuperstore Flower Girls - Old Navy Groomsmen - mens shirts from Walmart, boys shirts from Sears, pants TBA, Groom - TBA but leaning towards a local shop called The Travelman...or Banana Republic Shoes - H&M, Walmart, and TBA 4. Rings: Peoples / Mappins 5. Invitations: DIY Save the Dates (pictures printed at Costco) DIY Boarding Passes (still need to get the supplies from Micheals) 6. Flowers: Through the resort (Gran Bahia Principe) 7. Decor: Through the resort (Gran Bahia Principe) plus a few things that I've been picking up along the way but nothing elaborate. We will also buy maracas when we get there and put them at each of the tables for the reception. 8. Travel Arrangements: Awesome lady!! Her name is Dawn and she is affiliated with Sears Travel although she just opened up her own agency in Lacombe, Alberta (20 minutes from Red Deer). I've never met her...everything has been through email and telephone...but she is amazing at getting back to me with my MANY questions. 9. Are you active on any other Canadian Forums? (if yes which ones): Nope...this one is all that I have time for 10. Other: DJ Services - DJ Bob in the Mayan Riviera...my next big project is to work on "our songs" Photographer - Need to work on this ASAP!! Wedding Party Gifts - No idea Jewelry - No idea
  9. One thing that I would find out about is the "Mexican" night that they have at the Hacienda. I see that you're getting married on a Thursday...and if that is the same night that they do the Mexican fiesta night...then I don't think you can rent out the disco. Sorry...but I don't know the price for the disco...but I think it may be somewhere in this thread. I am doing a poolside reception (weather permitting) so you may want to check into something like that? Is it Christian (Karla's assistant) that has gotten back to you from the resort? I just received an email from him yesterday...so now we can start planning
  10. Welcome Tara!! It looks like we have the same plans...just different dates Happy planning!!

Great idea...I'm sure your step-daughter appreciates the help!!
  17. I agree...I think this is an awesome idea!! If anyone other than yourselves was hosting it...then I think certain expectations would need to be met...but since it's all you two...go for it!! Sounds great...and you can't make everyone happy so do what is right for you!!
  18. It would be so great to have some "down" time and alone time after the wedding...but we have 3 kids that we have to get back home after our wedding week in Mexico...so hopefully we'll find a great seat sale in Jan / Feb of the following year and take a honeymoon at that point. Although...a trip to Mexico (for the wedding) is as good as a honeymoon...no complaints here
  19. Awww...it's such a bummer when things like this happen. I have read a few posts of girls in the same situation and I feel so bad for you all. I think all of the other "words of wisdoms" in this thread are great...the BDW brides always have such wonderful words of encouragement.
  20. Yes...still a noob I see...LOL...and I think I had been something else (junior member?) a few weeks ago too....
