Hey Everyone! I Just wanted to drop a few lines to let you know that I used DJ Doremixx for my wedding in November at The Royal, Cancun. He really did such a fantastic job! We purchased the light-up dancefloor and it really was the focal point of the reception. He also brought all of his awesome lighting effects, it felt as though we at a club! My friends still rave about how great our dj was. He knew when to speed it up, and when to take it down. He was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!! He also brought out really cool masks, glow jewelry and balloons which my guests Absolutely LOVED! I'd highly recommend him for your wedding. He was fabulous.

Hey everyone!!! I just wanted to drop a quick message to you all. I came online to write a review on The Royal and your thread caught my attention. I got married on November 6th, 2009. Just my luck, it ended up being the weekend that Hurricane Ida decided to drop us a visit. Anyway's, My wedding coordinator was Patty Hernandez. She was awesome! From the moment I met her she complete took all my nerves and doubts away. She had EVERYTHING under control. She had emails from over a yr prior when I had first began working with her. She was so well organized and kept saying "Don't you worry, it will be fine". Anyway's, we were originally supposed to get married in the gazebo and have a beach-side reception. Well, needless to say that did not happen. We ended up having our ceremony in a room beside the ballroom. They set up it so beautifully that I didn't even care that it was inside. It was just perfect. Do I wish that I could've had beach-side wedding photos, yes. Was a wishing that I had brought a few extra things to decorate the reception room with, yes. I was banking on the beach and beautiful ocean being decoration enough. But honestly, The Royal truly made my wedding the most amazing experience of my life, and I wouldn't change a thing about that night. If anyone has any questions please let me know. Your day will be perfect. I'm going to try and write a review either tonight or tomorrow, so you can look for that. Good luck brides!

Hey everyone My wedding coordinator at The Royal in Cancun is Patty Hernandez however when she went on maternity leave the other Patti stepped in to help me with a few things. Everything has been great with the planning so far. The only thing I think is a little crazy is how strict they are on security there. The photographer I hired is from another part of Mexico however he was in Cancun on business a couple of months ago. He told me that he had never shot a wedding at The Royal so he went to the resort to scope out some good areas to shoot for the wedding. He said that he had to be escorted around by a security guard! At first they weren't even going to let him in. lol. I guess better safe than sorry, but wow! Anyway's I get married in 2 months and I can't wait. Hopefully it continues to be smooth sailing from here on out. The pictures online of the resort look amazing!

Hey Jquest! I am also getting married at the Royal, Cancun this year, November 2009! It has been a little frustrating trying to handle things from another country, however things are finally beginning to pull together a bit. They just recently sent me pictures of a reception on the beach and their wedding gazebo, as well as their bouquet options and dinner options. The only thing that is comforting to me (because, let's face it, I tend to be a little bit of a control freak!) is that I have seen many pictures of weddings at their Playa del Carmen resort and they've all looked amazing. So *hopefully* the Royal Cancun can pull it off as well! Do you know if their offering discounted rooms for your bridal party because you are holding your wedding there? For some reason, they are dragging their feet on giving me the room rates for our bridal party. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Hi everyone! My name's Amanda and I am currently in the process of planning my wedding. My FH and I just recently decided to have it Cancun, Mexico. Ole! We are shooting for a Nov. wedding of this year (2009)! Yikes, looks like I have a lot of work to do! We've decided to stay at the Royal resort in Cancun and will do the reception there. The ceremony venue is TBD, so if anyone would like to throw out any suggestions, that would be so great!
