  4. Congrats!!! This site is great and so helpful when beginning planning! We are also having our wedding at the gazebo and dinner at oceana. We chose to do our cocktail hour at el patio/gazebo and it's only two charges (one for ceremony and one for dinner). We were fortunate to view a wedding at the gazebo while on vacation and the cocktail hour at the gazebo looked amazing! It's nice to finish the ceremony and have cocktails still at the gazebo/ocean front. Let me know if you need pictures or you can take a look at my site visit review and there are plenty. Good luck and congratulations!
  5. Super excited to hear all about your wedding. I too am having Rev. Marco and Marianna as my WC!!

That being said I was on a boat all day so I wasnt in town much. If you have any other questions, let me know. I am getting married there in May because my WC said that is the best weather month and I am buying my own fireworks show Where are you getting your fireworks from? I love fireworks and was just thinking of doing dinky sparklers for our dance but if I could get the real deal, that would be amazing!!
  7. We are getting married at Dreams on June 25, 2010 so we are also a bit concerned with the heat. Cabo is extremely breezy since it is at the tip of the Pacific and Sea of Cortez, so we are hoping it won't be too bad. I'm thinking of purchasing some parasails or woven fans to help during the ceremony. If you have any additional insight, let me know!
  8. My FI and I were in Cabo in early April and it was beautiful!! Perfect weather! Sunny skies with little to no clouds, but very breezy (which was good due to how hot it was). The weather during the day was 80's but it did get a little chilly during the evening. We definitely needed a sweater or shall for dinner. I don't feel like the evenings were overly windy, so I think you would be okay for a March wedding. You might was to talk with your WC, she probably would have better advice than myself!
  9. When we went for our site visit, I believe we used Grey Line and it was $60 round trip. We prepaid and they were waiting for us when we got off the plane. It's kinda nice to have everything scheduled so know exactly how much you are paying.
  10. When we were at our site visit, we witnessed a wedding going on at the gazebo and another set up on the beach. Once the gazebo wedding was complete and the family was having their cocktail hour, the SAME priest walked over to the beach wedding and married another couple. It was awful because a guest from the gazebo wedding was shouting to his kids down on the beach while the other couple was saying their vows! My FI and I were shocked! We made sure our contract stated our day was exclusive to our wedding, no additional weddings for our day! Might be worth asking...
  11. I sent my $500 deposit back in April for our June 25, 2010 wedding. I never signed a contract though? Do I need to finalize all my details first before my WC will send my contract? Is that why I haven't signed a contract yet?
  12. We are having our wedding In June at Dreams Los Cabos. My FI and I went in April and spent $1800 (7 nts) but it was during spring break. We are planning for $1300-$1400/person (7 nts) and that would include airfare, hotel, food, alcohol, etc. (AI Resort). Personally I would go with an AI resort so your stay is stress-free. It's a great feeling to have everything paid for and you can gorge in all the food and drinks you want! This sight has a lot of helpful information! Find out the location and time of year and search on BDW forum for the rest! Enjoy the planning!
  13. How much did you pay for your fire dancers? That would be a dream of mine but I know they are extremely expensive. Great review!
  14. Great review! We loved the Sea Bass and Beef Tenderloin as well. Do you know if the signature drink is an additional cost? We are going to offer a Tequila Sunrise punch for the cocktail hour and I was unsure what the cost would be. Keep us posted with your apps choices. My FI and I didn't try any during our food tasting so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for your helpful review!
  15. I am so happy everything was as magical as you hoped it to be! I remember our last day in Cabo (site visit), my FI and I actually were debating extending our stay. I'm so happy it came true for you and your husband. It's reassuring to hear everything was perfect! Congrats!
  16. It would be great to go around the time of your wedding but I don't feel it's necessary. We did our site visit in April and our wedding is going to be next June. What's important is visiting the resort, tasting the food and getting your questions answered.
  17. I heart aches for you and your FI. I cannot even imagine what you are going through and how you must be feeling. It was a difficult decision but be glad that you and your FI are healthy and that your family is all safe. Imagine if you had gone and some of your guests got sick, that would be even worse! I know it's hard to have any emotions besides anger, frustration and sadness but try and be thankful you have eachother and that you will get through this whole crazy swine situation together. I feel for you and hope tomorrow will be a brighter day! Good luck and keep us posted on your plans.
  18. I absolutely love this thread! I've been cutting and pasting pictures for the last couple hours...ha! Thank you to all the brides who have shared ideas. I will definitely have to contribute once I get the ball rolling. Does anyone have a starfish icon for save-the-dates Help!!! Thank you!!
  19. Thanks Ana, my life saver! That description helps me visualize the reception area. I'm so happy you were so pleased with the food and service, that makes me feel at ease.
  20. They look great! I am wanting to do a starfish theme and am having a difficult time finding starfish icons. Where did you find your pictures? Could you send me the first starfish...or all three?? [email protected] Thank you so much!!!
  21. This is such an old thread so I hope I can still get the template. I used a different template but I like yours much better! They look great! Could you please email me your template??!!! [email protected] ....Thank you!!
  22. Hello Cabo Brides! I'm getting married at Dreams on June 25, 2010. I just secured the date today!! Whahooo!!

You always think the pictures on the website are fake, but I can tell you the entire place was beautiful and so relaxing. The staff were friendly and had no problem with any special requests. For example, my fiance loves his drinks strong and they always obliged his requests for extra alcohol. Food The food was good, but not head-over-heels delicious. I'm a big foodie, so I may just be prejudice. We liked Himitsu the best. Seaside Grill was good but we ordered our steaks medium and they were always well done. We didn't have a chance to try Portofino. Room service was nice to have and will definitely be put into use. Wedding Coordinator Mariana is GREAT!! She met with us the day we arrived and the day before we left. She walked us around the entire property, answered all of our questions, and was very accomodating. She has always been responsive to my e-mails and is really a joy to work with. Here's a link to some of our pictures: Tiffany Craig's Photos - Spring Break/Wedding Site Visit | Facebook P.S. My facebook wall pic is me as Tina Turner on Halloween. I don't look that glam on a daily basis. I just started the planning process and had a site visit a week ago. I told the other brides to be patient with Yesica but now that my site visit was over a week ago and I still haven't heard back from her, I'm considering switching to Mariana. We need to get our date secured and I'm getting worried. Do you think that would be a good move? Mariana responds well to your emails? Any advice or help with WC would be great! Thanks so much!
  24. Kate, do you mind me asking how much your cake was from Sweet Dreams? Do you have any photos of the cake? We are deciding if we should get a cake, cupcakes or nothing. Any advice, tips, info would be great! Thanks for your review!
