well just a quick update on my dress. i had my fitting yesterday and it is so much better. they stretched the fabric & steamed it to add 3/4 inch in length. i got flat silver sandals (1/2 inch) from town shoes Nice Shoes Online For Less - The Shoe Company they look great and aren't too much with the jewels either. at least now with such great sandals i'll probably show my feet off more. haha. anyways...thanks again everyone for your comments & support. it did help...and i'm glad everything worked out with my dress. it sucks it happened but it's fixed.

oooh i like the idea of asking your guests to keep a vacation journal of their experience at your destination wedding. you might not get them back from most guests...so you may want to pick and choose a few people who you know would write one up. be prepared for some funny stuff... i could only imagine what we would of wrote a the DW we went to last spring! haha would of been a lot of 'drunk' entries...haha

i don't have one, but i have a friend who started a wedding stationary business after planning hers. she's did our STD's and is working on our invites. is there something specific you are good at? ex. graphic design? flowers? fashion? cakes? think about the aspect you like the most...and see what you could offer that isn't already being offered. what you could do differently to market as your niche. or what is going on in your area. do you want an online business? lots to think about...but i'm sure you will find the area that is right for you. good luck and keep us posted what you decide! best advertising is word of mouth!

i don't have pics yet but we are using a square vase with fresh green hydragenas, with a brown satin ribbon around it with a peacock feather on it and 3 tealight candles around it. it's simple, elegant and under $20/table!

i've stayed at this resort 5 years ago, i don't know much about the wedding but i could answer some questions about the resort if you need it.

quick question...for those who had the legal ceremony did you do anything else to make it different or unique? just wondering what to plan or if we should leave things as is. sorry if this question was already asked (i have bridal brain...it's much like mama brain where you can't remember sh*t!!! hahaha)

i'm glad you brought up this discussion because i don't know much about spray tans and i was wondering if this is something i should do. think i'm going to pass. my biggest concern is having strap marks cuz i'm wearing a strapless dress. any suggestions for that?

first off keep an open mind when you go into the store. tell them what you think you want, what type of wedding you plan on having (formal, casual, church, beach etc). look around and pick some out, let them suggest a few. i found most of the bridal shops i went into they recommended things i never would of picked and i liked them more on me than the stuff i picked. in my opinion bring your mom. she has been waiting for this moment. she will be happy you asked her and to share it with you. don't bring too many people they will just confuse you. just talk to your mom beforehand and say you appreciate her opinion and tell her to keep an open mind too. i thought my mom would be annoying but she was amazing. one other thing...don't rush into buying the dress (no matter what the sales staff says). i found the whole experience to be overwhelming. i needed time to think about the dresses, look at the photos of me in them and then decide. don't have dress regret!

another reason i wouldn't do the whiteboards outside the room is because the resort is big and some of the rooms can be quite a distance from from the lobby, beach or pool bar area. expecting your guests to walk over there everytime to find you would be crazy. telephone still works fine, you can call room to room for free.
