  1. The funny thing, is that when my new hubby realized how much the DW actually cost, with everything, he still thinks it was a ridiculous amount of money. Especially because we got almost no gifts, which we would have gotten if we'd gotten married here.

I can't believe I'll be a married woman on Sunday... so exciting!! OHHHHH Yay!!!! I hope your day is beautiful! I know you will be!
  4. My parents offered to make our AHR and we are wearing our wedding clothes again. Ours is a lunch in a restaurant but we decided that it's still our day and a celebration of our wedding so we can wear what we want. It's the most expensive clothing we own so if we can wear it more than once...we will!
  5. i paid 167.28 for the bouquet and bout - that was on top of the allowance in my package.
  6. I also used Tai Floral - at Grand Palladium in Lucea Jamaica - I dealt directly with Natalie - I only ordered my bouquet and a bout from them but they also provided the ceremony flowers for us - here are some pictures. For the bouquet I sent her a picture of what I was looking for - I was very happy with the result. And the matching bout

You can make curls with a curling iron, but you really have to spray them - if I air dry my hair it's still basically straight. Diffuser doesn't really help even if I scrunch it - my hair is not curly any more. Carly - I totally know how you feel with the dirty hair - it's so hard when you first get it done to wait but it's so worth it. I think my trip and all the chlorine/salt water may have done a number on my treatment - it's a little dried out now - they sell a deep conditioner - I'm going to get that today.
  12. I'm in the process of writing a review and putting pics together but here's some teasers for you Really, the wedding and whole day was beautiful. My ceremony was on the beach and we had the cocktail hour out there - totally worth the extra money - the food was fantastic - everyone raved about it. Here's my set up Close ip of flowers on the arch thing My cake and bouqet Ms Whatever - I used the picture you showed me to send to Tai Flora for my bouquet - I loved it and it lasted the whole week we were there. the ceremony I had specifically asked for a nonreligious ceremony - Phyllicia told me they only do nonreligious ceremonies - imagine our surprise when the officant started mentioning Jesus - I was raised Jewish and Jim is an athiest so that was a bit shocking - i had to stop him during the ring exchange - make sure you tell the coordinators everything 3 times - I think Nina is much more on the ball than Phyllicia. The Gazebo is also beautiful - on a cliff overlooking the water - they have golf carts that will take you and your guests - definitely set your hair/make up appts for 3 hours before the wedding - and bring your own makeup - i told her I liked dark eyeliner and she didn't even have black - I was very happy I brought my own - plus my own waterproof mascara. I don't have any pics of the reception yet it was at the Poseidon, and it was NOT private, and I THOUGHT it was - Phyllicia was not clear - make sure you check this out - they wanted to charge us a lot of extra money to do this at the last minute - we chose not to and still had a great time - we had a whole section of the restaurant to ourselves with no disturbances from other guests. All in all - the best day of my life - our life - would do it again in a second.
  13. June is definitely good for me...would love to meet up with you all!

Tell him your mom will be walking you down the aisle as she has walked you through life.
  15. Great job Amy...now just sit back and get ready for the fun!

Your pics are awesome - I'm so jealous that mine aren't done yet - the internet connection is so bad in Jamaica it takes them a long time to download.

Login | Facebook Tracy you look amazing!!! How did you like trashing your dress - mine weighed about a million pounds once it was wet - but I rinsed it really well and it's at my mom's house now - she said it's totally clean and doesn't smell at all (it was a bit sweaty after the wedding) - I'm totally wearing it for the AHR! Congratulations on your legal day Erin!!!! Oh and BTW - for those of you who got married already, did you feel like a celebrity all dressed up - everyone was applauding and waving and congratulating us - Get ready for those of you who are still waiting - it's like having paparazzi with all of the cameras snapping away!

They were calling for rain and thunderstorms for our whole trip and we only got a few light sprinkles during our reception. Ok i just found your TTD pics...SMOKING HOT!!!!

Don't listen to anyone else - it's what YOU make it - it will be beautiful. Quote: Originally Posted by Holly22 Hey everyone! It rained on and off - it never rains for long and the resorts are so beautiful, they always have a great alternate location.
