I had around 650 from the wedding and 250 from the TTD - I didn't have a reception, so 1000 does seem around right to me.

Funny, I called the other place to cancel my appointment - I made it while I was there - they didn't even ask me why I was cancelling or if I wanted to reschedule. I'm wondering if she will contact me when she realizes I'm not coming. Thanks for your support everyone!

I trashed my real dress. I loved it so much that I couldn't imagine buying another one, and I knew I was never wearing it again. The great thing was that after getting so dirty from the wedding, the ocean CLEANED my dress, and I actually wore it a third time for my AHR, without even having to dry clean it. It's still in pretty good condition too!

I actually went to another place and had them fixed. They look so much better - I should have done before and after pictures. They were lifting all over the place. I just didn't feel like dealing with the conversation with the other place and driving all the way over there - the place I went to is right by my home and since it's in the mall - open till 9 at night even during the week. I'm going to have to call to cancel my next appointment at the first place now - I bet my "friend" won't even say anything - she has to know she did a crap job - you can't do nails for 20 years and do them that badly.

I love them . My something blue was my toenails. When I got to the salon, they didn't have the color I'd envisioned (baby blue), only a turquoise color - the same exact color of your shoes, and I had no time to go out and find and buy the color i wanted, so I went with what they had. I ended up LOVING the color and got so many compliments on them. I think when people see them peeking out from under your gown they will think it looks awesome, and you will too.

Great pictures - the first one of your eyes peeking over the flowers is gorgeous, and I love the one of everybody on the pier. Congratulations!!!

OMG - that is so my DH - home by noon - laundry or dishes to be done - if I don't say "hey, would you mind emptying the dishwasher...." even though there are piles of dishes in the sink....he will not do them.

A good seamstress can do amazing things. the one at my shop told me she had a client that lost over 50 lbs and they were able to alter the dress. I went down almost 2 (street) sizes after i ordered my dress and they were able to make it fit perfectly.

Sadly, sister issues are all over the place - my sister and I have had issues since I first got engaged. she did not attend my wedding....ignored most events...has distanced herself from our family and just enmeshed herself with her husband and his family. I can't explain her behavior or excuse it. When I tried to talk to her about it she said it was all in MY head. Luckily I have friends who act more like sisters than she does. She is the one that will miss out (as she already has) in the end. I hope it works out for you.

I bought Sephora liquid waterproof eyeliner and mascara and it stayed on, didn't run. Eyeshadow was Chanel -not waterproof but it wasn't all over my face. there was no way I was being photographed with no makeup on!

We knew almost immediately that we were going to have a DW, so as people found out and were congratulating us and asking the inevitable "have you picked a date" question, we would tell them " it will be somewhere warm and sunny". Once we picked a date and location, we sent out the STDs to make it official. Your idea for a party sounds really fun!
