I'll try not to make this too long: Tonight my FI and I were discussing our travel arrangements. We are paying for his mom to attend the wedding and I expressed the fact that i would really like to stay 3-4 nights after the wedding at another resort away from the fam. He told me he did not want to sent his mom home on wed (the day after the wedding) so we can go to another resort. I feel that since she is flying in with us (we will be getting there the wed before the wedding) she would be spending time with us therefore sending her back with his brother who will be flying back to NYC the wed after the wedding is not a big deal. He proceeds to tell me that I am selfish and that we should not leave our guest at the hotel since they made the trip to DR for our wedding. Yes he is right but most of our guests (90%) are flying in saturday, therefore we would be spending sometime with them. Is he right am I being selfish? I spoke to my family about it (before I spoke to him about it) and they all felt that it would not be rude. At this point I just want to

I love to travel and like Yaelm the older I get the scarier it seems to me!I travel alot to Colombia and since there are so many mountains you feel the turbulance even more! I also try to book either the earliest or latest flight in/out so I can try to sleep on the plane. My FI laughs at me b/c he travels alot for work so to him its nothing.

Thats insane!! She really needs to get a life!! (and a better job!!!) if thats what she does for $$. Don't worry what goes around comes around!!!!

Hello ladies! I can FINALLY say that I am def a November bride in Punta Cana beach front. The time they gave me was 5:00 in the evening. I think this might be too late. What times are your ceremonies at? Are they beach front? gazebo?

OMG I was reading the Budget thread and I almost cancelled my wedding! Unfortunately the economy has hit my family and friends hard so we have a budget and I am sticking to it! So far everything I have purchased has been with a coupon. I have my FI, family and coworkers purchasing stuff with coupons (at work I bring about 3-4 girls with me to various stores and we all use coupons. I am now called the coupon lady and proud of it!!!!!!!!)

I think walking down the aisle with if not both then one is a great idea! Its your wedding and I am sure they would both be proud to do it!!!!!! What a great way to incorporate your daughter!

We each have our own savings and cking accts. We also have a joint checking account that we pay our bills out of. And although we have separate accts I still know what he has b/c I am constantly moving money around to earn more interest. FI seems to think its not fair but I tell him it is b/c he can say he has a financial advisor for free!!!LOL
