It's getting so exciting planning all these kind of details rather than invites, menu, songs, etc etc Quote: Originally Posted by autjo OCD... yes. My fiance is a massage therapist and one of the girls at his spa gave me an awesome pedicure and said she would totally do it for my wedding (she did it two weeks ago and it still looks great). I also want tips but not the regular tips that destroy my nails and she said she does something called fiberglass nail treatment which looks more natural than tips and doesn't destroy your nails. And hey if the toes chip, I am sure I can always sneak in another pedi while I am down there .

I think your family is a special situation, just don't advertise that you will be picking up the tab for them to come onto the property. Anyone else who decides to stay elsewhere, I think it is up to them to foot the bill. Bc as your fiance said, they knew that by not staying at your resort they would have to pay a visiting guest fee. You may also want to check with your wc about the day passes and prices. Like at our resort if the people come within 30 mins of the wedding it is free to get onto the property the gate just has to have their name (just since it is obvious they are only coming for the wedding, not to use the restaurants or pools). But if they come like 4 hours early, use some of the facilities etc. then it is the full fee.

Or is it way too wedding dress-ish? (I love my made up words) The dress is beautiful and an absolute steal at only $99. I say have a TTD shoot anyways, so many brides on here who have not had one regret it. And hey you are going to be down there so yoiu may as well take advantage of being in a beautiful location. It also gives you another excuse to get all dressed up like ur wedding day and take some gorgeous photos!! I say go for it! -

I'm worried that I'll be the one ugly duckling out of the whole shoot. lol Nikki, I thought your hair looked smoking!! That is totally how I envisioned my hair the soft curls, but mine totally feel. I should have bought the bumpits and just curled it myself. And I am sure you will have some HOT A** photos so don't worry! And I TOTALLY feel you about getting hot , i was sweating so much. Who knew you could sweat so much in next to no clothing. I guess posing and looking so good is just hard work!

And I am sooooo much more excited now to see my pictures! AHHHH!!! I was really really worried about my hair I have been stressing the last couple days that it may have ruined my whole shoot. I have heard the makeup and hair services are pretty good, like Jess. I am almost positive Lauren had her hair and makeup done there, but I haven't been on her review in awhile to be totally sure. I am flying my own photog in like Jess so I haven't really heard if they are good or bad, I just know from the quote Rebeca sent me they are stupid expensive for not having outstanding reviews everywhere. I used to have the link to their website but I must have deleted it. But I would say just email Rebeca for their website and see if you can get any reviews from her from other brides.

I am so sorry none of the bridal stores near you carry those styles! But I am with Jenny becareful with ordering online since a lot of times you can't return bridal gowns. I found one online that I thought was "the one" and when I tried it on it looked BAD! Like Jenny said I would go to a couple boutiques in your area and see what you can find, they may have something very similar to both styles.

Soo I am soo excited about my invitation mockup! My best friend/MOH donated her time and craft services to design and create all my invitations. After doing the STD's I just didn't want to deal with the stress of designing and creating them myself, but our invites were looking to be $10 a piece which was way out of budget for me. So when my MOH was in town a couple weeks ago (she lives in GA) we went shopping for all the supplies we would need and she has been working on creating them ever since. I ordered the pockets from Cards and Pockets so she made a mockup for me this past weekend. And literally we are going to be making 50 pocket invites for under $200 which is soo much more in budget than the $700 and up the invite people wanted. And my MOH has gotten the designing bug and is now designing my programs, all my gift tags for the favors, the shake me tags for the maracas and probably my brochure. She is seriously the best, best friend I could ever ask for! I got a lot of the wording from other brides here on the forum but for the life of me I cannot remember which ones since I have looked at sooooo many! But thank you! And since photobucket refuses to work today here they are pasted into a pdf document. I will update it later once photobucket works with the pics. Invites.pdf

I don't know the name of the person who shot after me, but your images on the window rocked hardcore too. I was definitely envious of you both. I will definitely do this again. I'm already trying to figure out when and where! hahahaha Thank you Trish and Tammy- your old married couple routine was the highlight of the shot. Something about you two and Katie's personalities really puts people at ease. I never thought I'd walk into a room of strangers, drop my clothes and say 'here I am, photograph me' and be cool with it. No lappy means I have to say everything at once because it could be days before I'm back but I'm done with my novel now guys, sorry. Nikki, thanks so much!! I hope my shots kick ass too! It was just so much fun! Even though by the end I didn't know what faces to make anymore. I kept trying to think of new looks but I don't think I did. Ohh well! And I really thought my hair sucked, I should have done it myself since I kneww what I wanted and my hair stylist didn't quite accomplish it. But I keep telling myself the hair is going to look okay! And I am soo sorry about your laptop Nikki that is just horrible! But I am glad you are able to recoup most of the costs through insurance. And I really hope it didn't ruin any of your experience because you looked smokin in your makeup before I left so I know you must have amazing shots coming your way! Tammy and Trisha you guys are too funny. I def. want to see some action shots and some of Trisha posing!! It would be fun to put in a "created by" page in my BD book and have fun pics of you guys in action. And please please let us know if you guys come to Chicago again to do this, I just had so much fun and really you two and Katie made the experience. And next time we should all meet up for drinks after the shoot!

Hang in there, it will totally be worth the wait. :-) Thank you!! And I know they will totally be worth waiting you guys rocked~!

Trisha and Tammy, thank you sooooooooooooooooo much for such an awesome appointment on Saturday! You guys rocked it! I felt so comfortable with you guys right away and Katie did such an awesome job on my makeup. I actually had so much fun that I told my best friend I def. want to do it again!! Maybe for the one year anniversary ~!! And thank you for finding my shoes after I left them in the hotel room by accident and working with my aunt to come and get them. That was so nice of you guys. I felt like a totally airhead since I walked into the bedroom to see if I left anything in there, but I must have had shoe blinders on. I am sooo excited for my pictures!! I know I am probably going to be the last one to get mine since my wedding is in May, but by any chance will we get any teasers in the meantime??

Darcy, I think something like maybe his white coat or stethescope (if he has more than one). And then just some sexy lingerie, if you don't have any maybe head over to Victorias Secret after work to find some really sexy things. I also found nordstroms had some really cute and sexy outfits. And maybe some black garters, those are always hot. And like Melissa said, men always love to see us in their button ups! here is a breakdown of what I am bringing, maybe it will inspire you in what to bring?? Blowpops (accessory) Black peep toe heels Strappy heels Earrings Veil Fedora, FI's tie, black lacy boyshorts Pink betsey johnson bra with pink lacy boyshorts FI's military jacket, frilly boyshorts White babydoll And black fun bra with black boyshorts
