I am soooooooo excited! I just got my monogram this morning. Rebecca from Allurements by Rebecca created it. Allurements by Rebecca Not only was she awesome to work with but she does amazing work. I was sooo impressed!! I would seriously recommend her to anyone looking to get a monogram made. She has a lot of options available and can customize one for you too. She customized it to my colors exactly!! I can't say enough great things about her, seriously! Here it is!!

I think your idea is really cute but I would skip the sand. There could be other cute ideas to incorporate it that won't have sand falling all over people when they open the envelope, just a thought. You could even get a cool stamp you like, a glue stamp pad and then sprinkle the sand over the stamp area and it will stick. I have not seen anyone on here who has hand written their STD but I am sure some people have. I know I just have crappy hand writing so I couldn't do it. I say do a test run and see how you like it! I am doing the boarding pass STD's and I thought they looked so difficult and they actually ended up being pretty easy. All you have to do is get a template and add a couple fonts from dafonts.com. Print them on a nice thicker paper and cut them out and put your touches on the ticket jacket. So don't be discouraged if you want to try doing something creative. If are interested pm me your email I can send you step by step instructions on how to make them and attach the templates I got off here. I will probably be spending around $75 to $100 to make mine and they can be made even cheaper than that.

I also have worked with Rebecca from Allurements by Rebecca and she has been AWESOME!! I highly highly recommend her! I should have my monogram by her sometime next week.

Megan- I would try Etsy. I looked for you really quick and I found this seller, she sells single orchid buds for $6 a piece. They are supposed to be hair clips but I bet if you contact her she would be willing to make them how you would like them! Ladies I tried on this dress and it didn't look as amazing on as it did in the magazine. It could have been because the sample size was small too small on my hips, but the flowers kind of dominate your shoulder. I am doing a hair flower, no question, and if I had gone with this dress the hair flower and shoulder flowers would have been too much. I think it would look better on a taller person, I am only 5' 5" and it just didn't look right on me.

They look great, I think Jessica did an amazing job designing the maracas!

I am starting to put together my STD to send out by the end of the month. And since we are inviting some people who are not to tech savy my fiance is weary about just making a website and directing people there for information. He wants to just send info with the invites, but I know some of my friends and family will want travel information earlier than that. So I wanted to include an extra little info page with the STD informing people on how to book their travel. Did anyone else do this?? I just don't want everyone calling us for information and I especially don't want our guests to panic about making reservations to late. Can anyone give me some advice or tell me about what they did?? Thank you.

I wanted to honor my grandmother during the ceremony as well. I really wish she was here to share my special day with me. I really like the green orchids and orange lilly bouquet. I think it brings out your wedding colors and will look great with your dress!

Ladies I found some awesome starfish candles at Pottery Barn. The are white which go with most wedding themes and even my FI said he really liked them. They are $6 and I am going to use them in the middle of each of the tables at the reception with some votives and beach glass. I had a bridal consultant show me a different way of doing my veil so I could have both my hair flower and my veil on during the ceremony. She put the veil under my updo (rather my notted ponytail) so that it still flowed beautifully but you could still see all my hair and the hair flower. I was originally going to put the hair flower in my hair after the ceremony but I really wanted to have both. And this way still looks really pretty and I get to have both!

Thanks Jess, that does make me feel better. We decided to not do a room block since the TA wanted $100 for each room and we are having about 50 guests and with our budget we can't really put aside $2500 to block rooms off. I wish we could.

I agree with MarieSam too. And just from previous experience with a guy who treated me the way that your guy seems to be treating you, it will be okay. I used to feel like I didn't know who I was without him, but once I was alone I really found out who I was. And who I was, was a stronger person without him. And at first I was so hurt and didn't know what to do without him, but each day that went by I became stronger. And in the end he helped make me who I am today, because without him I wouldn't know what it was like to need someone who treated me as amazing as my fiance treats me. I would still think men like my fiance don't exist, but they really do. But you deserve way better and even if things work out you deserve for him to change and treat you with love and respect always! The one thing I taught myself when I was going through it, is no man is worth your tears and heartache, and I told myself he would never make me cry again! I would only let him back in if he never made me cry the way he used to and he was always going to make me cry that is why we didn't work. But I hope if you love him and want to be with him that it does work! Keep your head up and be strong, because you will be okay, I PROMISE!

Question fellow dreams brides!! When did you start having your guests book at the resort? My travel agent is freaking me out that if people don't start reserving their rooms now that there may not be any rooms left. I mean I am not getting married until next May and will be sending out my Save the Dates next month and with those I was going to include booking information. Because I know alot of my guests want to book their airfare and hotel together and they can't do that until May when next years air prices come out. Has anyone had an issue with reserving rooms? Or being told that we need to book so far ahead? I mean as soon as air becomes available I want to book because I think it is always cheaper to book them together. Maybe I am wrong. Either way I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. Thanks ladies!

My only two cents is that if your day is windy you may hate your veil being long, whereas if it was short it would be less of a worry on a windy day. You could possibly even get both a cathedral length and a short one through ebay pretty cheap and then that morning decide which you want to wear. I say wear whatever makes you feel the most beautiful in!
