I would add -scissors (for the last minute wedding project) -ribbon (in case you need extra) -tape (for favors or god knows what else) -safety pins (in case something needs to be pinned for your or bridesmaids) -travel sewing kit (in case your dress needs a quick fix) -table numbers if you don't have them made by the resort -extra cardstock in case you need to make anything while you are there -copy of your invitation for photo op -ipod speakers for the room while you are getting ready

I am not paying for my bridesmaids dresses. I am still working on finding their dresses but the ones I really like so far are about $200, plus alterations. And it is totally normal for bridesmaids to pay for their dresses. I have never been in a wedding or attended a wedding where the bride bought the dresses. Granted it would be awesome if we could do it, but we just don't have the extra $$. And I have been in two of my bridesmaids weddings where I had to travel across the country plus buy my own dress, so atleast with my friends no one minds covering all the costs themselves. Plus I am getting them pretty rockin gifts and flying to Arizona to spend my bachelorette party with them all before the wedding.

I would ask your TA for accomodation details to put down. This is what our TA suggested (improved a little by us): We have been working with a dedicated Destination Wedding Travel Specialist to arrange the best travel packages for our wedding. To ensure coordination in all planning, we encourage everyone to make their arrangements through TA Name. Contact TA Name and number or by email at (TA email) to secure your travel & hotel accommodations today. Please also feel free to research your travel on your own. But please keep in mind that if you do not stay at the resort there will be a fee for a day pass in order to attend the wedding festivities. In terms of the present I agree with the other girls about putting "please know that your presence at our wedding is present enough." That is what we are going to put but still register some places because there will be people who can't come to our wedding that will want to buy us a gift. So if you do that you could put in there "please know that your presence at our wedding is present enough. But some requests for registries have been made so we have registered at...." or something like that!

Just an FYI if you are worried about bringing certain things with you, keep in mind in most large cities in Mexico there is a Walmart, Sams Club, Costco...etc. Just in case you don't want to buy all the little advil packets and such in the states.

I paid my deposit with a check and as Tammy said as long as the contract states you can get it back there will be no issues. So I wouldn't be afraid especially if she has a reputable business. Otherwise maybe you can work out a deal with her that she will hold the date and when she gets the new merchant deal figured out she can get your credit card info then. But I really think it is quite common for photographers to request the deposit in cash.

Congrats on your legal day tomorrow! And in no way is it weird to be excited for it!! It is not often you get to get married twice to the love of your life in a two week time span!! So have so much fun and enjoy every minute of it!!

I don't think you need to send invitations either. Everyone who is coming already knows all the details! Plus if you ordered invites they normally come in increments of 25 so you would have a ton extra.
