  1. Congrats on becoming a Mrs.!!!!!! Can't wait for your pics and review!
  2. I am in Naperville, so the western burbs. BUt I work downtown if that is an easier place to meet.

Those bonfire pics were pretty awesome and makes me so much more excited he will be taking the pictures at my wedding!!
  5. You guys may want to check out Sarah Sproullie of Sproullie Designs here on the forum. She creates custom albums, monograms, invites, etc. But her albums look awesome and she can help you with the setup. She is who I plan on using.
  6. That is such a great story! Kudos for him on the creativity!! Congrats!
  7. I think it looks gorgeous on you! Congrats on checking your TTD dress off your list of things to do!
  8. HI ladies!! I am another Chicago bride. I actually live out in the western suburbs. I totally feel you on the fact that other brides just don't understand about planning a destination wedding. Like you can't just go meet with your WC to go over details once a month!! I am also down in anyone wants to get together for drinks, I work downtown but could also drive downtown on the weekends. I totally feel behind in everything but I know I am about right on target once I get passed all my anxiety! I have found my dress, booked our resort, booked our trip, picked out our attendants, and am currently working on invitations. But still so much left to do!
  9. Jamie is there a fee for having two different entrees? I think that would be the best for us, because so many guests love seafood and I am just not a huge fan. SO if I could have two then I would feel much better! Also where are you considering getting your cake from??
  10. This is my first time finding this section of the forum! I am so glad to see others out there love SYTYCD as much as me! I agree with everyone that Evan has to go home, I have no idea how he has even gotten this far. I think it was a total bummer that Jason left last week instead of Evan. And I totally agree with Kathy that Melissa got the short end of the stick with Evan, but any of those girls would have been screwed having him as a partner. But Melissa's attitude about picking Evan totally turned me off to her this week. The little snide remarks she would make like "i don't trust him as a partner" I just think she could have been a little classier and left thoughts like that to herself. So I am hoping both Melissa and Evan go home tonight. Even though Kayla doesn't have the best personality I think she out dances Melissa and so does Jeanette.

I just put in our STD and will put in the invitations that if you choose to stay at a different resort you will have to pay a day fee to come to the wedding. Everyone so far is staying at my resort anyways and we got them pretty good package deals, so if someone wanted to stay at a different resort the day pass is on them. We first thought about covering it, but then thought if someone wants to stay at another resort that is up to them and at $80 a day pass I can't afford to pay for people who choose to not stay at the resort. Our hotel is an all-inclusive and most people want to stay there because in the long run it is cheaper than buying your brkfst-dinner at restuarants. The reason the day pass is so high, is because our resort has a private beach so they don't let just anyone through the security gates.
  12. Beautiful! Congrats on finding your invites, I am currently in the process of figuring those out right now!
  13. I would think you would sink unless the runner is very strong. Does your resort have a gazebo you could get married at instead??
  14. I think it is absolutely stunning! And there really is no "dress style" for a destination wedding. I say if you love it go for it. Especially since you won't be on the sand and will on the sky deck, I think it would work out just fine!
  15. Sarah your wedding was beautiful and you was such a gorgeous bride!! Thank you so much for sharing, you made me even more excited (if that is even possible ) to be getting married at Dreams!
  16. Everything looks amazing!! You got so many great deals! Have such a wonderful trip, you are going to be a beautiful bride!
  17. Gorgeous dress and you are amazing for doing the running of the brides. I have seen the event on tv and it scares the crap out of me!
  18. You were stalked by a dress ! It is beautiful and you will look amazing in it! As for the shoes I am doing barefoot sandals for the wedding and flats for the reception. But it is really up to you and what you would feel most comfortable in. I decided on flats because I am going to get married barefoot and if I was going to wear heels at the reception, the dress would be too short or vice versa. But I say it just personal preference.
