Pashmina Order
BeachBride10 replied to Loveisintheair's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I'm curious to know what kind of deal you get as in what will your total number of the order be and what price they give you... for the next group pashmina order from us. Thanks -
So glad this question got brought up... I've been wondering the same thing. I've never been married before and haven't been to too many weddings either so I do not know what order things are supposed to happen. I do have one question related to dancing... we are having our reception either on the beach, but most likely in a grassy area overlooking the beach.. my question is do you think it is a necessity to have a dance floor? My fiance doesn't want to pay for one and thinks we don't need it, but I think we do need one. What do you think?

I was just reading through my contract (have not signed yet) and it states: Start/Stop Times: the hourly photographic fee starts when Company X arrives at a site to start setting up equipment. This starts 1/2 hour before the couple wants the first picture taken. The clock stops when the bride/groom states that Company X can depart and all equipment deployed has been packed away. The way I am reading this I will have to pay $400 for them to set up and pack up. Does this sound typical/normal? If not, do you think I should be able to negotiate this? Thanks for your thoughts

The kissing game... what a fun idea!! Where did you get your OOT bags from and how much were they? I am trying to decide what to use for those. Good job on everything. -

How beautiful! I know you mentioned you got your sand ceremony items at Michaels and Target... but where did you get the nautilus shells? How big are they? I have been trying to find these and I found a few online but I am not sure what size they need to be in order to hold enough sand in them. Thanks -

I wish I could help you out here. I too would like to hear from others about his services. I have been communicating with him also, and he has set up a nice package for us as well. I do like his work on his website, and was able to read some reviews on his blog, but when I am spending that kind of money it kind of worries me. I asked him why there were no reviews for him on the BDW forum and he said he didn't know but that he has a bride from BDW that has hired him for their wedding in PV Jan 21 which I think may be you. (Oh SHOOT just realized that's today!!!) Well anyways, I guess you will be able to give him a review. I was just going to ask you what made you decide to hire him, but I guess I will find out soon. : ) Happy Wedding Day!

Seating arrangement etiquette?
BeachBride10 replied to FutureMrs.D's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
One other idea I like is to have a couple tables put together to make one giant table so that everyone can talk/see each other. This will only work if there are 22 or less people though. -
Tipping etiquette
BeachBride10 replied to Ryan's girl's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I am glad I found this post! My wedding coordinator has "service" fee in my expense spreadsheet. I assume this is the tip. Is this correct? If it is, she has it set at 15% for EVERYTHING. I have read all the posts in here and most of you are basing how much of a tip you give on how the vendors performance is. So since the service fee is already set at 15% this means I don't get to choose how much of a tip they get. Unless of course the "service" fee is not considered the tip. So if I spend $1000 on flowers I have to pay $150.00 tip to the florist. How about the microphone for the ceremony and the speakers for the Ipod... should I have to pay a tip for those things? I better get an email to my WC!!! -

When I ordered the supplies from cards and pockets, I got the cardstock in full size sheets (8.5 x 11) and printed 3 of each insert per page and then cut them. So, yes all the inserts are different sizes to create the teired look. And yes I get so excited for the mail to come everyday to see if we got an RSVP! : ) I'll be happy to help as much as I can for any of you who do these yourself, it is rewarding to hear all the comments from people when you do your invites yourself.

I am so happy with my invitations! I would never have been able to do them without the help of all you other brides. I "borrowed" some things from you ladies on here, one specifically who inspired mine was from trayce2222. Hope this is ok : ) I loved her design and I just changed a few things. Thank goodness I only had to do 30 of these cause they took way more time than I ever expected. Getting the information spaced on the paper properly and all that cutting, and because I like to try to be a perfectionist, it took me somewhere around 5days to print, cut, and assemble them! Once you get it figured out it goes quick. If I had the choice to do it over, I would do them myself again. Thank goodness I didn't have to do 100 like some of you.

I just found the Umbra Ether frame on Kohls.com. It is the same frame that the bride posted instructions for from bridalinsider for the sand ceremony. Total cost with a 20% code (code is SHOPEARLY) for Fri 11/20 and Sat 11/21 only, plus shipping ($5.95) cost me $15.54! Way better deal than Amazon. Umbra Ether Frame Product Description: Featuring a durable wood construction in a rich espresso finish for a warm, welcoming look. And four panels of layered glass inserts — a striped, decorative back frame, two center frames and a protective front panel — to hold a variety of your favorite memories in a layered, floating fashion. With a side panel that slides out, so you can add and remove photos with ease. Freestanding. Plus, it includes a photo placement guide sheet to get you started. In espresso. * 8 1/4"H x 10 1/2"W x 2"D * Holds multiple photos * Horizontal or vertical display * Wood * Manufacturer's 1-year guarantee

What an exciting date! Do you know where in Cabo yet? Congrats, and have fun planning.

Congrats! My fiance and I went to Rhythms of the Night there in PV and it was beautiful there! Have you been?

I'm with you... I thought we'll go away to get married and it will be easier and cheaper. Yeah right!! I have to make just as many decisions and more people ended up wanting to come than what I expected, which makes me happy, but it can be very overwhelming. Thank goodness for all the creative brides on this site to help inspire us.
