  1. wow...blue & pink are my wedding colors as well. people look at me like I'm crazy when I mention the colors but they're great together. i plan to order from party flops too but I will checking this forum if I DIY for cheaper! www.bryonandkiuana.com
  2. it hadn't crossed my mind until one of the other BDW brides sent pictures from her wedding & the back of the dress looks absolutely beautiful without the panel underneath. It makes the dress look a lot more beach-like & relaxed. She's too adorable! Please check out the link below to take a look. ..:: Pictage | Registration ::.. ladies, let me know what you think??
  3. thanks for posting the information from sandos playacar. really helpful! I'm sure that the upcoming weddings will be just fine. i'm so excited for you both (Diane & JodJ). I wish mine was sooner...I'm ready! well...mentally anyway!
  4. well i'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who purchased two dresses...but I got them for an unbelievable deal. I paid $250 for the Capri & $300 for the Topaz. I was invited to a sales sample sale. can you believe it? they are both Maggie dresses. I've decided to go with Capri. It is ivory with blush accent. The topaz is diamond white....now I just need to sell Topaz but I'm afraid that I may change my mind!! Topaz - by Maggie Sottero Capri - by Maggie Sottero These were the first & only two dresses which I tried on & absolutely loved the Capri so I think I'll stick with it. Do you ladies plan to wear the panel underneath the corset OR plan to lace up & expose your back?
  5. Cute idea! how much did you pay for the plastic badge holders & coil key chains? thanks for posting!

So, going to send out an email today to see how many guests would still attend... Still praying and hoping that by Friday the ban will be lifted and we can just move forward with Mexico. Trying to stay positive.. but it is hard sometimes... I know that it's hard to stay positive but just know that you are about marry the love of your life and thie wedding is one day! you have the rest of your life to celebrate your marriage! and by the way, your wedding day will be just fine!!
  7. Hey Ladies, I wouldn't stress about this flu thing. Sounds like it is not as big as first expected. And I haven't heard of any reported cases in Riviera Maya.

I started with being in contact with the WC from Sandos Caracol d/t a misunderstanding. He sent me the flower pics- if any of you want me to include the pics, just let me know. I have been in contact with Lupita, the WC at Playacar, and she can take up to a week or so to respond. I was a little annoyed with this when I started looking but I think it is just b/c they run on "Mexican Time". I have personally talked with 2 other Playacar brides and they were very complimentary of her and their experiences for their stay. As I have been planning it keeps concerning me that I don't have a resort yet but my TA told us that we probably won't book until July or so- 6 months before the wedding. She is thinking that prices won't be out much before then. I also have prices for additional things like photo packages, flower prices, etc.- again if anyone is interested. Let me know. I would like to take a look at the price list that was provided to you for the additional items. Please post it. As well as the flower pics!
  9. I mailed the STDs yesterday. They also served as a formal announcement. Most people have already visited our website & are aware of everything. We plan to send out the formal invitations in august.
  10. Hey there...congrats! The Sandos brides have their own forum with lots of information. come on over & lets begin chatting!! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31793
  11. Does anyone have information about the Sandos4u club? I'm wondering if it's worth it to have all of our guests sign up the free card. I guess it can't hurt. I'm also wondering why wedding groups aren't automatically upgraded to the VIP package! We're excited about our website.... check us out & post yours too. I'm always looking for new ideas to keep everyone excited as I am about our upcoming nuptials!! www.bryonandkiuana.com

But it's only available until 10:30pm. At the time, the club is open to ALL. hope that helps.

Just wanted to say that everything was perfect so no need to worry. THe resort is huge, food is great and service is awesome. The beach is beautiful, flowers were perfect...i was really worried before going down since there is not too much information available but everything was just right. We emailed back and forth with Lupita but once we got there Paola was our coordinator, she was really good. I got my hair done in the salon...for the bride it is an automatic $100...they only charged me $80 since my hair was fairly simple...they do an amazing job on hair at the spa. We just had friends and family do our photos so i cannot provide much info there. The beach set up is beautiful. There is a photographer on the resort, there are some photos in the office when you have your interview and they are very good quality so you would probably be safe going with the resort photographer. You cant really take a DJ because there is no private reception unless you pay for one somewhere on the resort. Maybe email Lupita and ask her. IF you bring your own photographer you have to pay the extra $70+ for them to come on the resort as you would if you had guests coming from off resort. The reception is just held in one of the restaurants so you cannot do speeches or anything like that because there is no mic and it is open to the public. The wedding cake they provided was nice as well. Hope this information helps. Thanks much for the information. It is greatly appreciated! So glad to know that your hair turned out fabulous. It costs alot but at least its worth it! Did you have a symbolic or legal ceremony? How was the minister/judge? Thanks again for all the information & you have any pics, I'd love to see them. CONGRATULATIONS!!
  15. Hi Ladies, Now that our date is set, I have a few questions for you all. I'm hoping that you could help me out...otherwise, I'll try to contact the WC. 1) does anyone know how many days in advance you have to be there for the symbolic ceremony. I'm getting married on friday. can i check-in on wednesday? 2) does anyone know if you could bring your own dj? or bring another dj into the resort for your reception? 3) does anyone know who the photographer is for the resort? and/or if you could bring your own photographer? thanks ladies. I really appreciate your help!
