Worked like a charm!
  4. The Thank you stamp, white ink pad and the brass seal are gone. The dry erase boards, metallic aqua cardstock and 4 containers of beads are spoken for (the pair of blue beads in the center of the photo are still up for grabs).

  10. I used fake flowers in my hair and my aunt made them for me, but Etsy does have a wonderful selection so definitely look there.
  11. Have you looked into St. Lucia? We almost chose a resort there that has an all-inclusive option that also seemed quite private (not a giant resort), but was on the side of a mountain basically that went right up to the beach. I don't remember the name of it off hand, but if you're interested PM me and I'll find it for you. Good luck!
  12. I had my one surgery about 4 1/2 years ago!!! Went from an 'almost A' cup to a C cup (not a "full C" or "almost D" just a plain C) so I could finally fit into clothes directly off the rack - well shirts anyway. LOL!
  13. I'm sorry, but your FI was going over the top when he told you to call the cops for a door ding. My Dad was a cop for almost 30 years and, like some of the other ladies have said, he would've laughed and probably been pretty annoyed if he got called out for a door ding (if the dispatcher would have even sent a patrol car out). And to say it's disrespectful for you to not do what he said ... how caveman is that You called him and asked for input not orders. You were there, he was not. He should respect the fact that you did what you felt was best under the circumstances and let it go. Like Jacylinda said, tell him to take a midol, a bath and go to bed. And spend your birthday money on something that you love, NOT on the stupid door ding! Hang in there girl!
  14. I didn't have that problem at all. I brought a photo of the style I wanted (on a model not me) and she replicated it perfectly. It held through a dip in the pool (I didn't go under obviously) and through dinner and drinks that evening too. I'm sure it all depends on the stylist, but mine, Desi, didn't speak hardly a word of English and we didn't have any trouble. My appointment was about 3 hours before the wedding and it took about an hour and 15 minutes to get it done - I have A LOT of hair. ;-)
  15. Thanks for the suggestions Tammy! I'll give it a shot.
  16. We used Hispaniola Foto for our wedding and our pics are beautiful!
  17. I think you may have a harder time finding a lightweight suit this time of year. If you search hard, you might find something on sale (woohoo!!!!), but most stores are bringing out fall season clothes which, it terms of suits, means wool. I did see several nice suits (not sure about darker khaki, but definitely some shade of khaki) this summer season at Dillards, Banana Republic and maybe Macy's ... good luck!!
  18. I saw this dress in every bridal magazine I bought and I do LOVE it, but ... you're right. I think it does cut you off quite a bit in the front. The back looks stunning, but the front looks a little off. I think I would keep looking if it were me.

The reason I ask is because I don't see how she can give you one CD with all the RAW photos (even unedited ones) RAW files are huge. The other question is "does she have a back up camera in case something happens to hers during the trip?" But overall, if you feel comfortable, and you like the work you have seen from her, I say go for it. So, first, I'd say heck yeah do it, if like Tammy said, you've seen multiple samples of her work and like it all. We paid about $1500 for 96 RAW images (and all of the same edited .jpg images) on a DVD, prints of the edited images and a fully edited DVD movie with music and animation of our photos (which was awesome for our AHR). We used the resort photographer, but they are actually a photography company that shoots weddings at several resorts in the area and our pics are fabulous. Now I have a question for Tammy if you don't mind answering it. As I mentioned we got the RAW images of our photos. I am certainly not a photographer by any means or even a professional graphic designer, but I have been in marketing for 10 years and have been working in Photoshop for longer than that and have a solid skill set using the software. What I can't understand is when I open the RAW image (had a strap showing that I'm trying to get rid of), edit and save the image, it looks fine and relatively the same as the unedited jpg files the photographer gave us. However, when I print edited RAW files (now saved as jpg files so I could upload them to the photo printing site) the color is horribly washed out and sad looking. What am I doing wrong? Should I just edit the jpg images or am I missing something when I work with these files. I've obviously never worked with RAW files before, but I don't change any color settings, just do a little band-aid work on the strap and save. I'd really appreciate any suggestions you could offer so I can get prints sans the underarm strap showing! Thanks!!!

You actually have to do quite a few things to legally change your name. The marriage license is just the document you need in order to get it done. However, do keep in mind that if you sign your new name on the marriage license with the new name eventually you will have to go through and get your name changed with all the relevant agencies (DMV, SSA, etc.). I've read on here some people have had trouble later when they didn't and I actually had a friend who had some problems filing taxes (as married) because the name associated with her SSN didn't match her married name on her tax form. Anyway, you won't have trouble on the honeymoon with your passport so dont worry about that.
  21. I gained 3 lbs on the honeymoon (all inclusive - hard not to gain a little weight), lost 2 lbs. 3 weeks later (1 week after the AHR) and gained that 2 back the following week. That just sort of happens to me though sometimes. I gain and lose the same 3 lbs. 20 or so times over the course of a year.
