  1. I have always found airtran to be a good, low cost airline. I used them for my many, many trips to Savannah, until they decided to discontinue travel to that hub. Anyhow, I hope they are able to offer some great low fares to these tropical destinations!!
  2. Yay, another May Hawaii bride. If you decide on Maui, maybe I can be of some help. Congrats & good luck with your planning!!
  3. Yay, another Hawaii bride. If you decide on Maui, please feel free to ask questions! Congrats & good luck!!
  4. a huge pain in the butt rainy days??
  5. No way (don't like the consistency) celery??
  6. I know how you feel, I've been through the whole unemployed, getting depressed bit. I lost my job with no notice (literally came into my office & told me that my position had been eliminated, good bye.) It was very difficult to find work, actually took me over a year. On one hand, I really enjoyed being able to stay at home & take our son to & from school, but the $$ situation got to me. I hated not being able to contribute & having to feel like I needed to ask before I spent any $$. It took a LONG time to find a job, but don't loose hope, there is something out there & don't allow yourself to fall into depression (I know how easy that can be.) Good luck & hang in there!!
  7. not anymore - think I'm getting old traveling?? (might be a stupid question on a dw site, LMAO)
  8. Yay, another May Maui bride!!! I'm partial to the month of May for obvious reasons Congrats & good luck with your planning; if you have any questions, we are here to try to help.
  9. They are both beautiful gowns & are beautiful on you, but my vote is for the Maggie!! Good luck & I'm sure whatever you pick, you will be a beautiful bride
  10. I feel your pain!! My husband's parents are very well off & offered to pay for NOTHING!! On the other hand, my mother, who is widowed with a teenage daughter, offered up $6000 to help with whatever she could. I just don't understand where this thinking came from that the groom's family pays for nothing. I finally had my then FI ask if they were going to help with the wedding in any way. After some pushing, they decided to pay for the AHR, but only if it could be on their terms, WTF?? So, in the end, we had to go with what THEY wanted for the AHR, b/c we were maxed out after paying for the remainder of the wedding/honeymoon. Agh, in-laws, (trust me they only get worse once you're married.) Good luck with those future in-laws girl
  11. Congrats & welcome to the forum! I'm not sure of any actual chapels, but the Casa Magna Marriot in Cancun has a beautiful gazebo area that overlooks the beach & they do catholic ceremonies from this location (which I have heard that it is almost unheard of to be able to do a catholic ceremony outside in Cancun.) I'm not positive on the specfics, as we we were not looking to have a catholic ceremony, I just happened to read somewhere that this was something that they offered. Hope that makes sense; good luck!!! This is what I was reading online: "Many people choose CasaMagna Marriott for their weddings and large-scale functions. With 11,000 square feet of outdoor and indoor space and wedding staff that will take care of every detail, the Marriott Casa Magna Cancun is the perfect place to get married. The hotel is also the only hotel in Cancun that is allowed to conduct a Catholic wedding ceremony."
  12. I feel your pain girl!!! Same thing every morning - He sleeps 20 mins after I get up, then proceeds to get up & hurry around trying to get ready, asks ME if I can make HIM something to eat quickly b/c he's running late (hello, if I take the time to make YOU something to eat, then I will be late too), then runs around going "have you seen my keys?" Hello? I put a bowl right next to the door that is for keys, wallets, etc. Why can't you just put them in the damn bowl? And while we are man-bashing (LOL), why does he insist on throwing his dirty laundry IN FRONT of the hamper? I mean really, if you're going to carry the laundry all the way to the hamper, why can't you open the facking thing & put the laundry IN the hamper. DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!! Ok end of rant, LMAO!
  13. don't like (esp. alarm clocks - I'm so not a morning person:) bologna??
