I hired a stylist to come to our condo in Maui to do our hair/makeup. I thought it would be fun!! We won't have to worry about going anywhere, so we can have some drinks, get beautiful & just have a good time. I've never been in a DW before, so I'm not sure what protocol is for gifts. Hope what we are doing is enough to say thanks.

Here is what I have come up with so far: Bridemaids: $200 dress Main/Pedi day before we leave Makeup & hair day off Groomsmen: Suits Excursion once we arrive in Maui It doesn't sound like much for the maids to me, but the dresses cost us $600 total, hair & makeup will be $550 total & mani/pedi will be $300 total so does that seem like a sufficient gift?? The groomsmen really don't even know they are suppose to get a gift, lol. We bought their suits, which were around $100 each & we are paying for them to go on an excursion the day before the wedding which cost around $100.

I'm looking for a good luau with food & beverage included. We have a group of 15 & I would like to take everyone to a luau for the reception. Can anyone recommend a good luau with good food?? I am looking at the Old Lahaina Luau & the Drums of the Pacific (mainly b/c I have a 2 for 1 coupon Anyone ever been to one of these?? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks guys!!

I have been to Key West & it is a really fun place to visit & you would still get that tropical feel. I have also been to Vegas several times & agree that it doesn't have to be a hokey (sp?) wedding; there are some really beautiful venues there, some that are on & off the strip. I'm soooo sorry that you had to cancel your wedding, but if it's any consolation, I had to cancel ours & reschedule 3 weeks out (long story, but wedding was in Mexico, now it's in Maui), so I know it sucks. Good luck with your new planning & I think e-mails & web updates would be appropriate in this case.

It's so sad what happened to that little girl & absolutely disgusting what people will do to anyone, let alone a child!!!!! My thoughts go out to her family; may god help them through this difficult time.
