  1. Actually, if you're not wanting the glasses to be transparent, that website I gave you for glass paints, also carries a wide variety of paints that would opaque. Good luck & if I find something close to what you're looking for, I'll let you know! BTW, did you ever decide on a location for your ceremony on Tybee?? We just spent another 10 fab days on Tybee & I just wondered what you had decided.
  2. Yipee, another May Maui Bride. We got married in Maui on May 28th of this year; It was absolutely beautiful. If I can help, let me know!! Congratulations & good luck!!!!
  3. You could purchase the clear glasses from somewhere like this: Giant Modern Margarita Glass 10 inch tall centerpiece DF-1721361 Then purchase some hot pink glass paint from somewhere like this: Stained Glass Painting Supplies-Hot Pink Glass Paint It says that the paint is made for painting glass & that is would still remain transparent. It might be worth a shot if you can't find exactly what you're looking for. I'll keep looking!!
  4. NaM, Thank you for your input on the OBX, we may just have to give it a whirl this year, b/c like I said, we have always wanted to visit; I hear it's beautiful. As far as Hilton Head, we use to do Hilton Head before Tybee, so we've been there done that, time to move on to another beach Thank so much for all your help; I truly appreciate it!!!!!
  5. We did a card box for our AHR, but did not do one at the actual wedding in Maui. I never even considered it; I just assumed (& was correct), that nobody would be bringing a gift since they traveled so far to our wedding. Also, I think b/c everyone knew we were having an AHR, they were just going to bring their gift to the party. So, I guess it might depend on whether you are having an AHR.
  6. 08/06/09 2:18 pm EST Counting the minutes till 3:00 when I can go home. Oh how I wish it was Friday!!!
  7. Thanks for the Sullivan's Island suggestion. We don't drink so the issue of no drinking on the beach wouldn't actually be an issue Do you know if there are many private rental homes that have private pools?? That seems to be more prominent in NC, but I wonder if it's avail in SC?? That is something that we def want; a private pool & a hot tub. Actually SC might be a better fit for us b/c I would think it would be a bit warmer than NC during the 1st week of June. I will have to go google Sullivan's Island. Thanks & good luck with your wedding Mandy!! As far as the Outer Banks, we have always wanted to visit, but the timing never seems quite right. We usually do our east coast vacation either the last week of May or the 1st week of June & I've been told it's still chilly in the Outer Banks & you def can't get in the ocean that time of year. I'm not sure I believe that going south just down to Topsail would make a diff, but I'm told it makes a diff of about 10 degrees in the air & water temp. Any ideas if thats actually true?? Thanks again girls for being so helpful!!!
  8. We did ours at our parent's farm, so it was a totally relaxed gigantic cookout, so we did not follow any reception "traditions." We greeted everyone as they arrived & just mingled all night. We did do a first dance, but other than that it was just one big party!!!
