  1. piam0201, Let me see what I can figure out. I'm ashamed to say that while BDW was such a help in planning my wedding, that I have never posted any pics (mostly b/c I don't know how.) If I can't figure out how to post them in this thread, I will pm you with a link to see our pics online. Give me a bit to see what I can do. Thanks!!
  2. I agree, the weather forecast can change within the next week & it could be sunny. I do know that most days in Hawaii, you should expect a rain shower. Of course, the whole time we were there is didn't rain, with the exception of the wedding day (we stayed dry during the ceremony, but got sprinkled on during the luau.) Don't stress just yet, give it a few more days, then recheck the forecast. I'm sending good weather vibes your way!!!
  3. Thanks girls; I appreciate all the good advice - I knew BDW would come through with some great suggestions. THANKS!!
  4. Amanda, Yeah, I didn't see that you were from Canada, but hey, you never know, you might find a great deal on a resort that I missed. & I will let you know if I find any great deals on resorts as well. Yeah, sorry for the
  5. Amanda, Yeah, that's our plan too, anywhere HOT to get away from all the snow!!! We have been looking at St. Maarten & the Bahamas so far. We will go with the best deal I would say, so if you find a great one, let me know
  6. Hey girls, I need some advice. I am looking to get into running (ultimately to meet my goal of running some sort of a marathon), but I currently DO NOT run. I do, however, work out 5 times a week doing 30 min cardio & 45 min strength training. I'm wondering if any of you runners can give me some advice on how to start conditioning/training myself to run. I know I will have to slowly build myself up, but I'm wondering if anyone has a program I can follow. Thanks in advance for any help/advice!!!!
  7. OMG I just googled it & I can't stop laughing That was HORRIBLE; it looked like a performace in a middle school talent show!! The quality of the video was pretty bad, but WTF was she wearing??
  8. We were looking to possibly plan a trip to the bahamas in Feb/Mar, so this may be an option. Thanks for the tip!!!
  9. After dealing with the swine flu & having to cancel our wedding in Mexico, we will NEVER plan another trip without purchasing trip insurance. You just never know what might happen (I mean come on, who thought that something called the swine flu could ruin a wedding I think it cost around $70 pp & ultimately it is worth the cost, even if just for some peace of mind.
  10. Congrats & welcome fellow Maui bride
  11. For any brides looking for a catamaran charter company, a great one is Cancun Catamarans, Cancun Catamaran Tours, Cancun Sailing, Sailboats in Cancun, Yachts and Deep Sea Fishing Charters.. Sooooooo much fun & reasonable prices!!
  12. Oh no; how could I have missed Heidi making an ass out of herself?? When was this on?? I'm going to have to google it to have a laugh this morning!!
  13. Anna, Thanks so much for sharing your pics; looks like a beautiful place. I'm pretty sure we're sold!!
  14. We had all these great song choices picked out, especially for the processional, but once we had a meeting with our WC upon arrival, we realized that a big part of the traditional hawaiian ceremony is the blowing of the conch. So, if we were to do music during the processional, it would have overshadowed the blowing of the conch (which is blown slowly 3 times during the processional.) I'm glad we did it this way, b/c it lent some hawaiian culture to our wedding in Maui. Just a thought, but as far as the waves drowning out the minister, the waves where we were located (Kaanapali) were not big enough to make enough noise to drown out much of anything; just some nice background noise Hope that helps!!
  15. Congrats on your engagement & welcome to the forum. I would think that any good florist would be able to special order you plumeria (although it may cost you.) Try contacting a local florist & ask them for suggestions!! P.S. - I love plumeria; I wore one in my hair everyday, for a week straight when we were in Hawaii; they smell sooooooo good!!!
