  1. Congrats Mrs. and thanks for your review! You look beautiful and I'm soooo happy everything worked out for you and hubby.
  2. Thanks ladies....................... it was magical!!! I'm working on a review and will add pics in my album from time to time.
  3. Hey lady!!! I need to do something similar.  A friend of mine did her cards with shutterfly and I may do the same. I like the card with the pic on front and then you can write a message inside. I was going to do this for those who came to our wedding and then a basic "announcement card" for some who could not make it.  or I was also thinking about a Thank You Magnet but would need a card attached to write personal messages.  and I thought it would be over after the wedding. Still so much to do lol lol  Let us know if you find any other ideas.
  4. Everything looks fabulous and you looked absolutely gorgeous! Your hard work paid off.
  5. I love #2.. I got my hair flower from the same vendor... you will love it!
  6. Hey Ladies----- I hope that all of you had the wedding of your dreams. I'm going thru wedding withdrawal.... glad I'm not back to work until September. I've been soo lazy! Our wedding was amazing and everything was beautiful--- why would I want to do anything after that? I thought once the wedding was over I would get a break but there is tons of after wedding stuff to take care of: **decide if I should hyphenate or change to hubby's name **start name change process **make selection of pro-pics **choose thank you gift for gift( any ideas? thinking about a photocard or magnet or?) ***go house hunting and the list goes on and on... I love the new site updates but will have to figure out how to add my review( hope to finish soon) I like that we can add pictures more easily. How have you been ladies?
  7. Hi MD Lady: Not sure if you're still on here but wanted to chime on on this topic. I had an amazing wedding but now that I look at pics I would have to say the same thing for me. I was holding my bouquet close to my chest, covering the top of my gown. I think I was soooo nervous that day and had to hold on to something. The only person that said something was my godmother who ran over when we were signing the papers to adjust my corset( was showing in back) and tell me I should hold the bouquet lower.... by that time it was a little late. I walked down the aisle with the bouquet in between my boobs.... oh well there's nothing that can be done now! I feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one to have done this.
  8. Hi Mmack: Yes.. everything was amazing and such a once in a lifetime experience. I've learned so much with this planning. I'm working on a review and hope to get it done soon. Are there any specific questions that I can answer? Overall... enjoy this time with you and your fiance. It will be stressful but remember it's one day--- just the beginning of your life together. Keep it simple... you don;t need too much decor.. we skipped floral centerpieces and had laterns only... I liked how it turned out. You're having a wedding on a private island. What can beat that?? It will be magical.. an experience for you and your guests like no other. One last piece of advice----- don't sweat the small stuff---- If I could do it all over again I would worry only half the time!
  9. So everything worked out well with my hair. Before I left I got a fresh relaxer and a full weave( new technique called braidless weave where hair is attached to links and tracks attached without braiding). I found a hair lady on the island and the day before the wedding she did a trial for me and we decided what I would do for the wedding. The morning morning of, I washed my hair and the stylist blew it out and styled it. I got relaxed straight hair from Indique and it looked very natural. When I went to the beach I wore a white bucket hat so I woudn't get my hair wet and it was just fine.
  10. You don't have to wait for upcoming offers... I placed several orders in one day to get the free deals. They will send them all in one box.
  11. Jamaica would be awesome for a wedding! There are many JA brides here.. check out that section. I've heard good things about the two resorts you're thinking about.
  12. Hello Ladies! I'm a July 2010 bride but just wanted to chime in on Vistaprint. I got such lovely stuff most of them for free( only paid for shipping) I got tote bags, tshirts, hats, pens, sticky pads, welcome brochures, photoshare cards. I gave the bags and tshirts to bridal party and they loved them. I simply put Aruba/ July 2010 on all items. The brochures and photoshare cards were placed in guests oot bags. Since you ladies have time start placing orders now!
  13. Welcome and Congrats!! You will find plently of helpful info here to help with the planning.
  14. I had a huge duffel bag and suitcase filled with wedding stuff... didn't know I had so much and I kept it simple!! I had my MIL bring one and brought the other with me. No problem with the dress.. the flight attendant placed my garment bag in first class closet.
  15. It may be a little easier if you decide on a location then narrow it to certain resorts. Jamaica, DR and Mexico have great AI options depending on what you're looking for. Take a glance at locations and read reviews from brides. Good Luck!
  16. What a comprehensive review! Thanks for sharing... this will be very helpful to future brides. Congrats Mrs.!!
  17. I came back from my weddingmoon to find new changes to the site! Love it!!
  18. I'm not sure if you already printed/ordered your formal invites but we left space on the rsvp cards for guests to put their email addresses.
  19. One of the things I love about a DW is you can do what ever you choose! We didn't have a rehearsal dinner but instead chose to have a welcome mixer at a restaurant/lounge the night before the wedding. If we were at an all inclusive resort I might have had a rehearsal dinner for bridal party only and the mixer for all guests.
  20. I think we have similar taste in music...We chose Robin Thicke "Sweetest Love"for our cake cutting!
