  1. I did the same with SEARS Clinique. LOVED IT. I brought my MOH and mom so that they could help me. It's really not hard at all. My only problem is eye shadow. The $25 brush is expensive, but makes all the difference in the world.

http://www.michaelsteingard.com Michael and his uncle Phil travel about 10 times a year to Punta Cana and stay anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. There is a good chance they will be down for your wedding if you are interested in using their services. They are so familiar with Destination Weddings that they even act as a "coordinator" and keep you calm, relaxed, and up to date on what's going on for the day. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone interested in hiring them!

  4. Thanks all my Curvacious Ladies! Â This is the second "big" improvement I've had this year. One thing I've recognized is the positive VS. negative self talk. I used to criticize and put myself down all the time. I've somehow change it and turned it completely around. I used so much negative self talk that I actually never even gave myself a change to try. Now, I recognize even the tinniest of improvements. And I mean REALLY recognize. I'm so proud of my accomplishments that even told my personal banker and customers. Â If anyone wants to chat and would like some help, please pm me. I feel so grateful to for being able to change. It felt impossible but it's obviously not!

Had to share. Â http://www.underworks.com/pettipants/8402.html OMG, I almost peed my "pettipants" Thanks! Â I got a major heat rash under my arms in the Dominican after 3 days (mind you I NEVER had any relief from the heat, not even at night). I bought Body Glide and it worked like a charm. I applied it every morning, and then again just before supper (just in case). Â Â UPDATE: thanks to my brother, he has gotten me to a point where I can participate in a full 1 hour cardio kickboxing class! His Martial Arts Club puts on a "bag" course. We punch, kick, squat, and do situps for 1 hour straight. I have pushed myself beyond my limits (something I learned because of my brother), and I even encourage my skinny friend to keep going. I sweat like a Mother F***** but thankfully the class only has 3 others so I don't feel like a complete idiot. Â My eating habits are still terrible, but at least I've improved one aspect of my life. I had a sedentary lifestyle. I have a sit down job, then came home and either watched TV or went on the computer. I seriously NEVER moved. Now I couldn't be happier! Â You have to start somewhere, no matter HOW SMALL it is!! For me it was 20 minutes of working with my brother once a week! How embarrassing! But now look at me go! Now I'm up to 2 hours a week of hard core workouts! Â Thanks for listening guys! I have only told 3 other friends/family in my life. People have stopped believing in me so I tend to keep more quiet around most people.
  6. It's not all that bad. If you use WEDO the cost is $300 total (provided you have never been married before). Â Sometimes TA's are just that - TA's. Some of them know very little about the actual wedding details. Â
  7. You're right, it really is all just excuses. When it's a priority you do it right? My boss has 3 kids all in hockey. All of them had games around the same time one night, all in different arena's, all in opposite ends of the city. She ran around like CRAZY, but you know, she did it. She was just as exhausted working 7-4, dinner, cleaning, getting kids ready, and by 6:30 they were at their games. Â I tried the excuses on my brother. I worked 7:30 - 4, had class from 5 - 6:30, didn't have supper, and my arm was so sore I could barely lift it. He made me come. I didn't have a choice. Other times I had cancelled I started to feel guilty. He was taking nights out of his week, changing plans, FOR ME. Then I would call him last minute and cancel for **insert excuse here**. I STILL try to make excuses even after 3-4 months of working with him. Â Â UGH! I can't stand drama! You're situation at work is exactly like my work. Someone started screaming and yelling at another because they were annoying (or just being themselves). Person B called Human Resources and filed a complaint. In retaliation, Person A did the same thing. We all got pulled into the conference room one at a time to have a discussion with HR (who is actually in a different country). Now everything is awkward at work. Â
  8.   Dear Little Miss Sunshine Squasher  I like your siggy and I think I will use that quote tomorrow at work. You're funny Heather! When I think about kids, I think about the life my family gave me. We were always SO active and were able to do so many things. But I look at some of my large friends who aren't able to move all that much without getting out of breath and I see the effects on their kids. This scares me and will definitely make me want to strive to be better. I now accept who I am, and am happy, but the kids man! They sure can change your life (in more ways that one)! Â
  9. I sent you a PM Susan but after reading more had to comment. Â My dad's sister (who is white and racist) is from Merrillville Indiana (near Gary Indiana). She has experienced the same thing as Ellabaja. She has seen this situation so many times so I can understand her feelings (to a point). However you can notice from the way I started this comment that I no longer consider her family after the things she said to me. I can appreciate peoples concerns, comments, criticisms, and I respect everyone's opinions, but she really drew the line after some comments. Â REMEMBER you are financially responsible for him for 3 years. If he leaves you, he can decide to be a bum and not work - but YOU have to pay for everything for him. He is NOT able to go on welfare, social assistance, unemployment etc. So like Ellabaja said, don't rush into anything and really get to know him.
  10. Welcome MsMarMar! I think our thread is the best one out there Tons of support, tons of "I feel the same way"s, and tons of new ideas! Â I'm a size 22 and I felt fabulous on my wedding day! No matter what size you are, you're going to look beautiful. Accept yourself for who you are. Love yourself. I haven't lost weight since . . . 2002? OMG! Wow 8 years! That's awesome that you have so many people in on your family BL! Congrats! Â I guess I've got my family in on it as well but in a different way. My brother does kickboxing and mixed martial arts so I finally opened up to him and told him I wanted him to be like my personal trainer. We do everything outside with things from around the house/yard. I love this SO MUCH MORE! I push him, spar with him, flip tires, crunches etc. I LOVE IT. He pushes me just like Bob and Jillian from the BL. He doesn't let me quit early, and makes sure I carry out the full set of reps. If I didn't have him, I wouldn't be doing anything. Â I have to admit, I'm not regular at it. I started in May and still only see him once a week (sometimes twice a week). I haven't lost any weight, but I'm not focusing on numbers. I just want to move and he's definitely making me do that! I'm having so much fun (finally).
  11. He's also on facebook, his pic is green background with sunglasses on. He's usually quick to reply.
  12. I've heard good things about all of those photographers. I believe they all take their business seriously and I think they can all be found on facebook as well. Â Phil or Michael Steingard will probably already be down there for weddings as well in February 2011 so you can contact either of them for prices. Look in my siggy for links to their website to contact them.
  13. Down pours can happen during any time of the year. Â After doing a trash the dress session (submerging myself completely in the ocean and pool in my dress), getting caught in a down pour is actually quite fun now. If I got married again and it started to rain, I would seriously dance in the rain (especially in Punta Cana where the weather is so warm and the cool showers are welcomed!) Â How cool would it be to sit in your bathing suits under a Palapa, holding hands with your hubby, and listening to the rain? Â I welcome the rain any time now!
  14. There's basically 2 seasons November - April (22 to 28 degrees, and not much rain) and then May - October (23 to 32 degrees and more rain). My husband works at the Plaza near one of the resorts and he's had 3 days of rain since July 1st. I was there for 3 weeks last October, and it was always the same - Sunny, partly cloudy, chance of showers (which is usually a 15 minute shower or down pour). We had these 15 minute showers frequently, and I think only once did it pour all day. Â There are times (usually May - Oct) where it rains all week. No point stressing about it. Nothing you can do about it either. It's still warm out so I say jump in the pool anyway! Â Enjoy your time!
  15. Are you sure it's an EXTRA $950? Or maybe the $750 is now increased to $950? Is that possible? I think it's absolutely ridiculous to charge an EXTRA $950 for 10 more people. That's $95 per person!
  16. Not enough sex? Hey girls, I know I'm not supposed to advertise on here (I'm not looking for your business), but wanted to let you know that I am a Passion Parties Consultant. We do private, confidential, professional and classy in home parties usually for women. But it sounds like you guys could all benefit from a Couples Party. You can invite 3 -4 other couples into your home and have a consultant chat with you guys about our products, romance tips, and how to keep the fire burning. I'll leave it at that for now and if anyone wants to PM me about more info on parties in your area or even just to ask questions, let me know. I'm by NO MEANS a Sexpert but can maybe point you in the right direction. Kelly Homac - Your Independent Passion Parties Consultant

I'll have to try that stuff, because I suffered for days with the rash and pain. This happened to me when I visited my honey in the Dominican. At their house there is NO relief from the heat (even at night) so my arms were rubbing constantly. I arrived on Saturday, and by Wednesday my armpits were on fire. I spent a full day just laying on my back under the fan with diaper rash cream under my arms. After buying the Body Glide, I've never had a problem the other 4 times I went.
