I love the Karena Royale in ivory over gold i have been looking for one. But I just went and looked at the Phillipa, I didn't realize you could get it in ivory over gold as well. It is really pretty too. I still love the KR mostly because of the sash. There are so similar I think it will really depend on if you want the sash or not. Try to take some pictures and it will be more helpful.

Thanks lara&Mike I had never gone down to the bottom of the website so I hadn't seen that before. I have been in contact with Mayte and she said she could help with the cake and flowers, but I am thinking of doing fake flowers and bringing them and for the cake I am still not sure. thanks again.

I agree I am overwhelmed with all the choices of resorts and who includes what and who charges extra for what. What really overwhelmed me what the price I was quoted, we are coming from canada, and I can only go at Christmas (I'm a teacher) and we were quoted $3000 for a week. I just about fell off my chair. I can't ask a guest to pay that. I keep praying it will go down when prices come out in April. So $900 doesn't sound that bad to me. I really fell in love with the melia caribe, they seemed to be able to keep it simple and yet pretty. I read a lot of reviews from other BD brides, to help me narrow my choices. good Luck

inanna, I was wondering if you could PM me some more information on how this worked for you. My plans are slowly being crushed and Florida seems like an option that might just work. I really like the idea of renting a large estate. But have lots of questions. thanks Robyn

Has anyone had a dress done with lots of lace? I really love Maggie's Karena Royale but I am nervous that the lace they choose won't be something I like, also I want it in the light gold underlay with the ivory lace, so I am also worried about that. I think I will go and email them right now to see what they say. But I love all the dresses on their website I just REALLY love this dress.

Hey, How did you let them choose? Did you give them options and then look at the colours it came in? Also how did you get away from two girls choosing the same dress. They are lovely by the way I love the colours.

Hi Everyone My name is Robyn and we have just decieded to have a Destination wedding, so I am still researching the best places and hope this site helps. We are thinking newyears 2009 or march break 2010, I am a teacher along with many others so those dates work the best. I am worried about crowds though and wonder if early july is maybe a better option for price and amount of people. Hopefully I will find out some more info on here.
