First of all, I really can't believe that they asked to be invited! It definitely puts you in an awkward position. Second of all, I don't think you should feel bad at all about saying no. It's your wedding and you obviously want things to go better than at your FI's brother's. You also don't want to worry about them isolating themselves from everyone else. You can pretty much just explain that you only want it to be very close family and friends.

I love the idea of the brownie sundae bar instead of cake! It's completely different than just your normal wedding cake, and at least people will remember it. Most times people don't even eat cake and it ends up being a waste, but I think people would LOVE the idea of something so different!

Congratulations and welcome! In regards to your question, I also agree that all of your guests will probably be expecting some type of reception dinner. Are you pretty set on Dreams? It is a bit pricey to pay that much extra for dinners when it's already an AI resort.

Congratulations and welcome! There are so many great all-inclusive resorts to choose from in Mexico, you should have no problem finding the perfect place!

Kimmy- You might be able to just bring them all to the post office and pay for the postage there, but I actually had one weighed for postage and then bought wedding stamps for that amount. I was too nervous that if I just handed the box of STD's to someone at the post office that it would get messed up somehow. Jannae- Like everyone else said, I wouldn't even give your guests the option. To me the whole point of even having a DW is that everyone is together for more than just the couple of hours that the actual wedding lasts; so if they stayed somewhere else they wouldn't be part of that.

We decided to go with Friday, so that everyone could make a long weekend out of it (for those who can't come the whole week), and then could also have a day to relax after the wedding before leaving on Sunday.

Kelly/Josie- Thanks for showing me your OOT bags! They're both so cute, and Josie, I love how you're putting the picture on yours! Surprisingly on Saturday I ended up finding some at Macy's on sale! I will post pictures when I can. Desiree- I'm happy to hear that you had a great bachelorette weekend! I can't wait to see pics, but I know you must be going crazy right now, so I guess we'll wait for them if we have too, lol! I really can't believe your wedding is THIS WEEK! Thanks everyone for all of the OOT bag ideas! I actually went shopping the other day and almost NO ONE has beach bags or towels anymore! I don't get it...it's only July! So I might have to start looking online. Kelly, where did you get your bags from? Josie- Love your new siggy pic! Jannae- Your STD's sound awesome! You will definitely have to post pictures of them once they're made! Samira- I think registering for you honeymoon is a great idea! It actually makes it easier for people too. No sense in registering for things you don't really need. Desiree- Congratulations and I hope you had a great legal day! I also hope you're having an AMAZING and CRAZY bachelorette party/weekend! Josie- That's so exciting that you're all moved into your new house now! We're actually in the process of building a house, but it won't be done until probably November. I just can't wait to move in! As for jewelry in the OOT bags, I was hoping to do that too. I'm just having a hard time thinking of what kind of jewelry I want to get. Let me know what you decide to do, or what you're thinking!

Desiree- I can't believe you're leaving NEXT WEEK!!! I'm SO EXCITED for you!!!

Jannae- I actually went with a TA from Liberty Travel. Unfortunately, I can't check online to see who has booked so far, which I'm completely jealous of now! I would love to be able to do that. Also, as for the photographer, I think we're just planning on using the one provided at RPRM. That's awesome if you can get EMedina though...you're pictures will be amazing! Samira- Don't worry about not having done your STD's yet. Like Lisa, we also sent ours out ten months before, and that seemed to work fine. As for OOT bags, as I mentioned before that I'm not doing them for our guests, but am planning to do them for my BM's. Since I plan to make them a bit bigger (a large beach bag), I'm hoping I can plan some type of get together with my BM's before Mexico to give them to them; this way everyone can just bring it on their own and it's one less thing I have to worry about. I'm still just trying to think of other things to put in them though. As of right now I'm planning to do a beach towel, flipflops, suntan lotion, chapstick, maybe some type of "activity" book for the flight, and then I'm not sure what else. I'm using this as their gift, so I'm hoping to pack as much stuff in there as possible. Any suggestions?

Welcome Jannae! I just checked out your website and I love it so far! Definitely love the bright colors! As for using a TA, we definitely got lower rates than if we had just booked on our own. She also mentioned something about getting a couple of nights free (me and my FI) if we had so many rooms booked, but I don't know for sure yet. I sent my STD's out the beginning of June and gave my guests until July 1st to send in a deposit; however, those who haven't booked yet still can. They pretty much send in the deposit when they book and then two more payments are due before the trip.

Desiree- It sounds like you have a couple of fun excursions planned...you will definitely LOVE swimming with the dolphins! I actually did it a couple of years ago. I'm hoping to try to plan some excursions for our guests too, but haven't put too much thought into it yet. Is anyone arranging AND paying for their guests excursions? While I would love to be able to pay for everyone to do something, I think it would be way out of our budget. I think I'm just going to arrange something and tell everyone the price, and they if they want to do it they can, but if not, that's fine too.

MrsMarch- After thinking about what I wanted to do for my bachelorette party, both me and my FI finally decided that we're going to have both of our parties in Mexico (still separate), since everyone will be there. We both have friends who live all over, so we didn't want to ask them to travel twice. If all of your friends dont mind traveling though, then definitely go for it in Vegas!

Welcome MrsMarch4! Are you also planning your wedding at RPRM? I'm actually not doing Welcome/OOT bags for all of my guests, just because of how expensive it will be. I am planning on doing big OOT bags for my BM's though as their gift. For our guests I plan on having a Welcome Letter in their room when they arrive.
