So, I'm definitely also really irritated that they would charge us extra for drinks at an AI resort...especially since we're bringing such a large amount of people! This is one of the reason's I chose this resort, because they didn't do that (compared to some I found that did). I also only thought they charged you for the cocktail hour if you wanted food. If that's the case than I won't have one, and I'll just have everyone go hang out at the same place for an hour! Kind of ridiculous if that's the case! Glad to know I'm not the only one that wasn't aware of this!

Josie & Lisa- That is SO EXCITING that you finally got contacted by the WC's! Your wedding days will be here before you know it! Where are both of you planning on having your reception? Kimmy- I'm sorry to hear about your BM's backing out. I can definitely understand why you'd be extremely pissed off, because I would be too! Over a year and a half is way more than enough time to plan for it!

Lisa- We're also not doing OOT bags, but as I mentioned before I'm going to do them for my BM's. So far to put in their beach bags I got them flip flops, a beach towel, and a travel set from The Body Shop (with a loofa, shower gel, and lotion). In addition to that I'm planning to get them sunscreen/tanning lotion, some type of "activity" book for the flight, and maybe even the decorated disposable cameras (just in case they don't want to bring their good cameras to the pool/beach). Still trying to think of a couple other little things to throw in there, so I love hearing everyone's ideas!

Lorie- Thank you so much sharing your pictues! So cute! It makes me want to go right now! Also, thank you for all the info about your trip! I'm sure we will have a million more questions too, so I'm glad your happy to answer them! Alexis- I really like the sandals that Josie found! Definitely something different too...I've never seen anything like that, and I'm sure the guys haven't either!

I don't know for sure what the policy is on outside vendors, but I do remember that coming up before and hearing that it might be an issue. I just decided that I'm going to go with whoever they have at the resort, mainly just for the convenience of not having to worry about any of it! P.S.- Thanks for posting your pic fallendragonfly!

I would say that if he definitely doesn't want to wear green, then go with the light pink...it's too much of a risk getting a fuschia that doesn't match exactly to everyone else. That's what we did with my FI actually...one of our colors is a dark teal, so he is actually wearing a lighter teal.

Awww...what color suit is he wearing? I finally got Ryan's shirt the other day, but now I have to find a pair of white linen pants for him. I might end up going with the same pants Josie got from Island Importer.

Fallendragonfly..thank you so much for posting so much info! I especially liked hearing the part about how easy it was going to CocoBongo and having that arranaged! I'm planning on having my bachelorette party two nights before the wedding, so it would make it so much easier being put together like that!

I actually did think about this too! While we can't afford to actually pay for our guests (we have quite a few) to do an excursion, we did put a list of some on our website. This way they will at least have an idea of what things there are to do and can obviously plan something if they want to. Of course we would love to be able to plan and pay for one, but it's definitely not in our budget. I wouldn't worry about people not having enough to do though...they're on vacation, which means they'll probably be happy just relaxing with everyone too!

This definitely puts you in a tough spot, but I honestly don't think you should have to pay for his trip. I'm sure he had more than enough time to plan for this expnese, so you shouldn't have pick it up just because he didn't plan accordingly. I also agree with cruisebride that if this was a priority to him he would have taken a little more initiative in having everything organized...epecially like getting his passport! Or even approach you both to let you know he's having issues paying. I understand where you're coming from though, in that this would have been the only person there specifically for your FI...but on the other side, EVERYONE that is going is going to celebrate with BOTH of you...not just you. So I wouldn't put yourself in bad financial spot just to cover his cost. You will have an amazing wedding even if he isn't there!

I actually wasn't planning on doing any type of speech...but should I be!? I also wasn't planning on doing a slideshow...I didn't know if that was even possible. Also, I haven't got my garter yet, but was actually JUST starting to think about it. I'm also unsure of where to get it...the only place I know of around me is David's Bridal or maybe even a couple of other bridal shops. I might even look online to see what I can find.

Thanks girls! I actually got them at a boutique by my house. The name of the designer/brand is Marichi Mani, so you can definitely do a search and order them online. I actually bought a pair before these and ended up returning them after finding them! I just knew I had to have them!

I think I would go with the sliver ones! Who cares if it won't match the girls exaclty, because like Rachel said, you want to have your own look anyway! I just think that the silver will look awesome with all of the crystals!

Alexis- I actually haven't even thought about doing formal RSVP's, which might be a good idea! I'm hoping to do some type of newsletter a couple months before, and might put something on there about RSVP'ing on our website. I don't think I'm going to send out formal invitations though, only because I will be sending another round of invites for our AHR. As for our reception, we're definitely planning on having a DJ for dancing afterward!

I was also wondering the same thing! The fans seem like such a good idea, but I'm worried about people not using them. Seems like there's mixed reviews on this.
