  1. Hi, I just wondered when you were going to start using the twitter site again? The last post says 2009.
  2. congratulations, welcome and good luck!
  3. woah - brides on this thread are just trying to save some money where they can - the hotel is wonderful and no one is saying it isn't, weddings are expensive whereever you go, home or abroad. My husband was born in Jamaica we are both british citizens, his family are in Jamaica and cannot afford to come to the UK, mine can so we have chosen to go to them. Insurance is all dealt with separately via your travel insurance. Things can go wrong anywhere, guests will have a wonderful time regardless because it is your special day. I really don't understand where anyone has caused any offence to you, the hotel or anyone else. "I here the people in Jamaica drive very bad" - what do you mean by this?
  4. Congratulations and welcome! X
  5. hello all - isnt it exciting?! has anyone managed to find links to any pictures of the wedding locations in any of the threads? Our ceremony is on the beach at 4pm followed by a bbq - we tailored the menus to what we wanted and it worked out quite reasonable. Just need to ask if we get a discount on the bar when half the guests will be AI guests at the hotel.
  6. your pictures are absolutely amazing - thank you for sharing! just what i dream of.

  16. im booked for July and keeping everything crossed. In the UK many brides organise summer weddings but end up with rain and cloudy skys, im hoping that even if it rains or even does get hit by a hurricane i will at least get to take some decent pictures on another day of my holiday.
  17. hello! im getting married in july at hilton rose hall!
  18. Hi Gloria! I'm getting married at Hilton Rose Hall in July, booked in January but have been researching since Jan 2009, everything from Negil to Ochi. We have guests coming from the UK and family in Jamaica so needed a resort that didnt charge for guests coming into the hotel and that was used by tour operators, unfortunately this ruled out all the reasonably priced hotels in Negril which would have been my preference. We have previously stayed at Starfish in Falmouth but Hilton Rose Hall was the the best price wise for us. We have booked through Virgin where the wedding is free with a room upgrade and we are paying the hotel for all the extras we want. I found my dress in February last year, just need to find my sandals and sort the men out. Debbie
