Hi all future Dreams Los Cabos brides... Matt and i just had our wedding there on June 22, 2009 and it was absolutely beautiful! We worked with Yarai (WC), marTin Zuckerman - Photographer (www.unikphoto.com) and Marci & Enrique (Baja Video Productions) and everything went better than expected and we had a great time! My wedding is cancelled thanks to Sunquest... super pissed and dissapointed! I was super excited to leave this weekend!! CRAP CRAP CRAP!!! This blows!

Hi Tammy, Our wedding is cancelled as well and the worst part... we stil lreally want to get married n Los Cabos!! We are stuck with Sunquest - they won't refund our money... we jus thave to reschedule our trip... CRAP CRAP CRAP!

You suggestion about the tan lines is something that i am now thinking twice about too - i will be there a week before the ceremony! LOL! Can't wait to see your pics by Juan!

I wish i was going for a site visit as well! It would be helpful! Can you find out if the IPOD aplified sound system is compatable with all IPODs? specifically IPOD nanos? If not, then i will have a problem...I've asked Yarai (WC) but didn't get a straight answer... THank you!!

Based on Yarai (WC), $200 give you the speakers, but for $250, you get some sort of attachment or amplifier and microphone... we went with $250 just because i heard that the wave crashing can be quite loud and if anyone wants to make speeches - it would be nice if everyone could hear them

Hi Kara Your pictures did turn out amazing and the two if you looked amazing! there are quite a number of beautiful couple shots - whic his the most important to me. Thank you soo much for sharing! I think we have made our decision to go with Carlos as well, jsut becuase he has been amazing at getting back to me and his portfolio is soo well put together... Juan is just out of our budget now. Congratulations on your wedding! I am looking at Heliz Audio Visual as one of my options... Carlos Aboyo seems to be really great at responding to my questions and I like his portfolio- how was your experience working with him? Did the pictures come out the way you wanted? Was he easy to work with?

Tammy - i am not sure if you still check this thread- but i am been putting together a speadsheet of photographers for our wedding in May... would you like me to send it to you? I think an updated speadsheet would be very helpful for all brides... however - do you know anyone with experience with Calos Aboyo? EM Photography? Guilda Badillo? Please advise.

Welcome to the forum - both resorts look awesome - but i am with Leia - I'm a Dreams Cabos fan! Cabos is very much an up and coming area and it is a more expensive place to go as many celebraties go there to party - but it is still a hidden jem. Either way - i think your wedding at Dreams will be beautiful and you can't go wrong. Ev

our date was booked back in October 2008 for may 12, 2009 - yes - we did a $500 money transfer to the resort to book our date. THe contract we recieved outlined when our last date would be to back out (Dec 9, 200 and the final date we needed to have everything finalized by (April 9, 2009). From what i was told from Yarai, without the $500 deposit, she was only able to hold that date for me for 2 weeks while we decided which resort we wanted to book.

I don't own a Mac OS either - however, i use to work for Xerox and have learned that there are some print shops (other than Staples) that may have MAC systems and can print on a high quality colour printer - I know Xerox epcifically made a printer to be Mac compatable and it is AMAZING! This was targetted for high end graphic designers etc... You may have to call around - but i know there are a few small shops around Missisauga area... you can also try Kinko's. I've been working with Yarai, WC from Dreams, and she has been great at responding.

Yes- i've had the same experience and it took a couple of days for a response, and yes i had my doubts and panic attack, but it has all worked out a-okay so far... Everyone seems to have worked with Yessica - i seem to be the only one that is working with Yarai, but she has been fantastic as well - they all respond to the same email inbox...Hope this helps you feel better! We are in the process of debating between the Love and Ultiamte package. We are sticking with the majority of the package - but after we learned that the photographer that comes with the package ONLY covers 1 hours of the wedding ceremony - we now had to re-adjust our budget to conver addition photographer time. The only other thing we are getting is the bridal boquet customized to be all cala lilies... but our WC, Yarai, has helped me with this. For a difference of $750USD... i'm really not sure which way we are going to go - but it mught depend on how many guest we are getting above the 20 as well... Hope this helps... Ev

Hello, We are getting married at Dreams Resort - the reason we picked the resort was for the following reasons: 1) Dreams only holds 2 ceremonies a day - vs Riu Palace has i think 6??... more intimate - less commercial 2) Dreams has a-la-carte menus at their restaurants versus buffets... better food... 3) The packages were more inclusive of everything that we wanted 4) Our WC, Yarai, has been great at answering everything we need and quick responses. She has made me feel as comfortable as possible with planning a wedding online! LOL! I hope these rationals have helped! Ev
