I'm going to be a March 2010 bride also. I have picked my date (march 18th) and am just about to send the contract back to them. I'm planning on Paradisus Punta Cana. I have pretty much picked out my bridesmaid dresses and made a layout for my DIY invitations. Just need to wait for a confirmation for a time for the wedding and all that fun stuff so I can start printing them out.

I have heard that Punta Cana doesn't have as many spring breakers (the college type party kids) as say Puerta Plata.. Thats at least what I'm hoping for!

I just got my contract on Thursday... It probably took about 3 days for them to get back to me the first time but since then it has been smooth sailing! My date is in March 2010.

I am in the same boat as you with the bridesmaid dresses... I am having a hard time finding ones in that colour and that are cotton or a light fabric... Also my MOH really doesn't want a strapless so it narrows it down a little.

Ah! I just went through that last week with all my family except they weren't complaining about how expensive it was going to be they were just trying to make everything so much more complicated then what we wanted it to be... That is why my FI and I wanted to go away to keep it simple and it seems like everyone else thinks that it is their wedding not ours!

Hi Everyone! I'm really new to this and actually just got engaged February 6th.
