I was having such negative thoughts about not getting the same "perks" as others, doubting my WC and TA. Everyone here was very supportive and reminded me that those "perks" didn't matter, the MP was a great choice and the wedding was going to be beautiful no matter what. As soon as I started to feel better about things my TA emailed me and said that since we had so many nights booked we were getting the unlimited functions. Yea!!! Such a happy surprise, I'm so excited. Now with that being said, what kinds of private functions is/has any one having/had? I know that we wanted a reception and can now have one but what else do you recommend? Thanks everyone!

Wow! You're one nice step-mom. I think it would be incredibly sweet of you to make the OOT bags and if you do, you better say they are from the parents of the bride! 1) they are actually from you 2) the bride might get embarrassed is someone says, "oh, thank you for the [insert item]" and she would have no clue 3) you are putting them together and paying for them. If my parents were contributing anything to the bag I would make sure to give them credit. If you are sure the bride won't care I'd just tell her that you are going to make something special for the guests to thank them for coming. If she wants to include anything additional from her and the groom then she can do that.

While I don't disagree with what anyone posted I do want to add a different perspective. I have no idea why these people received their bonuses. Yes, I'm peeved that my tax money was used to bail out these companies but, if a year ago my boss told me that if I achieved a certain goal I would receive a bonus I would work my ass off to achieve that goal. Once I did I would expect my bonus. Yes, it would suck if people all over were having problems but is it my fault? If these employees are doing their job why are they getting punished? Punish their bosses that were dumb enough to get the company in this position in the first place. What would you do if your boss promised you a bonus for your good works then everyone demanded that they take it away? This is all just MHO but I have great respect for the employees that gave back their bonuses but don't fault the ones that didn't, I fault their bosses.

Don't tell me the zits never stop, oh well, at least it's only once a month. I swear, the forum is syncing us all up!

I confess that I'm about to start my period and I have a giant zit under my nose. It is driving me to distraction. I'm 34, when do zits stop?
