Ha, the amount of chlorine that is in the water is enough to kill just about anything. Add in the alcohol from the beer and all should be good. I'm more worried about the fact that a lot of people probably pee in the pools there (um.. hello, there's a bar IN the water) than the Mexican water. Good thing urine is sterile....

Okay, so I just bought this at the mall. Spencers has them for $15 but they don't include the ping pong balls. Fortunately, we have a bunch from our normal beer pong set. Woot!

MUST READ-- Mexico DW worried about travel

Just a funny note, most people living in the continental United States are actually closer to the Mexican/US border than they will be when in Cancun... -

I just put in an order to Amazon to get it, but I am still pretty skeptical as to whether it will work for me or not. The main reason is that it is only 27 minutes long, including warmup, cooldown and stretch. So at the very most, doing it once will only burn 200 calories, so I am guessing that I am going to have to do another workout to actually lose any weight/fat. Since you have to create a 3600 calorie deficit to lose one pound, that means that if you only do this workout and eat a maintenence diet, you will only lose one pound per 18 days, even if you do it every day. To me, that's hardly a "30-day Shred". I have to also say that I already workout 5-6 times a week for at least 40 minutes per session, and do a combo of weight lifting, aerobics, and running. Will this DVD actually do anything for someone who is already reasonably accustomed to working out? - it seems that the best results will go to people who don't already exercise regularly. I have always exercised regularly and have been a pretty heavy athlete all my life. I do the DVD every day and I do another work out at least 3 days a week. I also stick to a pretty good 1200 calorie/day diet. That being said, I hit my plateau a couple of weeks before trying the DVD. I couldn't lose anymore weight and was getting frustrated. Since starting the DVD a week and a half ago I've lost 2 more pounds and have noticed more definition. IMHO ~If you are already toned or don't need to lose more than a pound or two I would say that the DVD won't do too much for you other than help maintain. A lot of people that have been starting it are the "skinny-flabby" and while pounds don't come off the toning of the "flabby" has been happening. Hope that helps...

Victoria's Secret is having a pretty good sale on bikinis. Victoria's Secret - $29 & Up Bikinis I got two there on clearance pretty cheap. You have to hunt around a bit for sizes and such. Ash ~ I love that you are doing "Oscar" changes. That's too cute!

Thanks for the offer happy. And mummer ~ no heart attacks! My only little freak out was completely random. We were making dinner last night and I got out the shredded cheese. I looked at the date to see if it was still good and it said May 21, 2009. I was like OMG by the time this cheese goes bad I'll be married! Very random.

I use 5's but some of the exercises I definitely wish I had 2s or 3s!

Stop all the freaking out! You're gonna make me start too. AHHHHHHH.......

Anyone else not changing names?

I spent 30 years with my name and have accomplished a lot professionally with my name, so this means a lot to me.. I had someone say almost the exact same thing to me. And, she is one of FIs GMs wives. I couldn't believe it, I mean really? It struck me as really funny b/c she's about 5-6 years younger than me. -
There are a few threads regarding the legalities of changing one's name after the wedding. But, I haven't seen any regarding NOT changing names. I wanted to see if anyone else is keeping their name. For several reasons I'm not legally changing my name. My FI and I have talked about it and we agreed that personally if people wanted to call me by his name we wouldn't correct them and our kids would have his name. However, professionally and legally I would keep mine. This has caused some discussion among family and friends (most thinking that I'm "wrong" or "disrespectful" for not taking his name). I'm wondering if anyone else is going through this or has gone through this and if you have any tips on how to politely address those that are chagrined (to put it mildly) at this. Thanks!

So much for motivation! It's super cheap on Amazon right now, if you don't mind a little online shopping.

Seriously, if you go up more than a pound it starts asking a ton of questions as to why you've gained weight. Never want to gain weight again, don't want to piss off the Wii...

I just started 6 days ago and I'm down another 2 pounds. I really started to hit my plateau with regular diet and exercise so I was pretty excited to lose some more. These last 10 sure are a struggle!

I loved it and keep thinking about it as a possible TTD dress.

Ana, congrats! I'm so excited for you that it is so close. But, totally sympathize on the long to-do list. As others have said, I'm sure you'll get it done and do try to 'delegate' some of it out to others so you don't have to stress so much. And you can always vent to us!

Dollar Dance? Heard of it?
drtracy replied to JoLo908's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
This is actually something my FI and I have talked about. We are not doing it at the DW but considering it for the AHR and then donating the money to our charity. My family wants the tradition, I don't really like it so if we pass the money on to someone that really needs it, win/win! -
What's your "day of" attire?
drtracy replied to JHarwood2Be's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I was just going for something white that wouldn't mess up my hair/makeup when I take it off. I found this cute VS romper/cover up. It looks totally adorable on and is really comfortable. Victoria's Secret - Cover-up romper (I want to wear white so that my make up looks right with my white dress. I don't ever wear make up so I don't know if I'm supposed to do that but it sounded like a good idea.) -

I will be getting married at Moon Palace on August 1, 2009 at 5:00. I know that as the time continues to get closer to the trip, I will be on here more and more! Questions: I have seen in recent posts that the Apostille is no longer required. However, it says that a certified copy of the birth certificate is needed. Any idea what a "certified copy" is? Thanks again! Erika Congrats and nice snow day! A certified copy is the one that you (or your parents) probably already have. It is really easy to get one and you should get a new certified copy as some places require a more recent one (my original is from the 70s so I got a new one). Just contact the Vital Records department in the state where you were born. You have to give them some information (e.g. your parent's name, the hospital, etc.) and it costs $5-$15 or so and they'll send you a new one. They say that it can take up to 3 weeks for it to get processed but I got mine in about a week. Hope that helps.

Yea! Congrats to both of you.
