I Am SOOOO very glad I found this post, I just saw on DelSol site photos from an AMAZING looking cosmic wedding, its EXACTLY what I want! Anyone else do this, or maybe should I start a new thread?

I agree, since when does the tour operator do weddings?? We're most likely going with the Barcelo Palace, or possibly the BGP, I never knew that Transat would do the actual wedding stuff!

I just seem to be kind of stuck on the two kiddy pools at the Barcelo, but we're thinking of having the wedding at GBP and then possibly heading over to the barcelo for a few days, we've always said that 7 days just isn't long enough to be in paradise, so we may very well stay an extra fw days!

Thanks Julie, we're hoping to be able to book everything for MAy also!!! It's just sooo hard to find the resort that you know will please everyone, my dad is actually pushing for the Akumel, he went 2 years ago for christmas and LOVED the GBP!

a quick question for the ladies who have been to the GBP and have had a chance to check out the whole resort, which of the three sections would you most highly recommend Tulum, Coba, or Akumel... We're in the process of trying to decide between this resort and the Barcelo Palace/Colonial, and we're stumped!!! Is there any benefits to choosing one section over the other, I'm kind of hoping to be able to go someplace where our guests have access to all ala cartes, and all buffets, do the staff really pay attention to the wrist bands at the GBP, or do they let things slide?? Bah I'm finding myself getting more and more stressed by trying to pick the PERFECT resort!

Oie, well so far we've had someone complain about EVERY location we've mentioned!!! Cuba- the food is horrible, and the conditions are sub-par Jamaica- even black people don't want to go here (no joke someone said this) Domican Republic- the service is horrible, and the beaches are dirty Mexico- what haven't I heard about MX- it's unsafe, it's over priced, the workers are lazy because they get paid to much, I have heard the worst and nastiest things, I'm about to drop kick the next Negative Nelly that comes my way, it's just so ridiculous that people feel the need to share their BS theories, especially the ones that make me stop and say to myself "wtf you did NOT just say that" so annoying, but we're still gonna go away

I wish people would STOP telling me where they DON'T want to go, and be a bit more helpful and tell me where they WOULD like to go!!! My dad and his GF have vetoed Cuba and Jamaica and are iffy on the DR My mother told me Mexico is too expensive and to go to Cuba Our friends have mentioned that they don't like the beach FH's mother asked us why Mexico, people keep getting killed there my GF and her FH say Mexico sucks (never been, as far as I know) All in all, I get lots of "don't go theres" and no "this place is great", well my dad did mention how amazing the GBP Akumel was, but his DGF likes to go to new resorts each time she goes away! So yeah, all I want to do is tell these people to stuff a sock in it, but in reality all I'm doing is stressing out more and more!!!

@Mischaka- I may very well be paying a talented DIYer to do the "dirty work" for me, and I'll just print it off, lol, I can't even figure out how to put together a Monogram, it's kind of embarassing! @heartbeat- Thank You for the link, but I need to get my numbers up before I can see any attachments! so hopefully soon!!! Either way I'm still thankfully waiting for the TA to get back to me, so I can slowly get my eggs in the basket (look for vendors ) and the I'll be all set to print and send!!!

wow I can see why you'd be disapointed with the final product, it barely looks like the first photo, it actually looks like a washed out version of the first photo, not even remotely as vibrant! Having said that, I still think it's a very pretty bouquet,, I'm not sure if I would spray paint it, or if I would just pick up a couple of extra flowers and sneak them into the bouquet! Either way I'd complain, have a hissy, whichever, I'd make sure that the company knew my displeasure! GOOD LUCK!

So I've come to the realization, that I SUCK at DIY, and it dissapoints me to no end, I want to be able to do a BP STD for my guests to enjoy, but I can't for the life of me figure the templates and terms out, seriously I'm 33 and I need someone to hold my hand, HOW SAD IS THAT! And then I'm completely lost when it comes to templates, everyone seeems to have done their own, and yay I could pay someone to do one for us, but then how do I use it!! do I print it off, and then what When did I become so incompetent?? lol Off I go to post stalk some more, and hope and pray a DIY faerie drops in my lap!
