  1. I was planning on not doing them since my budget wasn't allowing me to. Plus I had never even heard of them since this forum. But after a lot of favor drama, ( I can't decide what I want) my wedding planner in Bermuda is making "goodie bags" as favors for me. Kinda blending OOT with favors. She made a great point, saying "why would you buy something from the US just to bring it all the way to Bermuda as a gift?" "Why not give them something that they can only get in Bermuda." So what she is doing is getting mini Bermuda rum bottles, rum cakes, postcards, maps, and other touristy things and putting together the bags. Less drama as far as having to pack all that stuff too. I tld her not to go over $10 per person. You could always see if the planner at your resort will be willing to do something like that too.
  2. I changed my whole theme and color palette because of this. I am in love! I just ordered a 26 ft lampac aisle runner yesterday because of these pics! Here is the link if anyone else is inspired... Matting | Forever Bamboo by Island Thatch, Inc.

  4. I don't know if you like this, but it's only $180 which helps out budget-wise.It looks very similar to the Jasmine one you posted, just a little more casual. OC by Oleg Cassini Beaded Silk Chiffon Gown - Wedding Dresses - Nordstrom
  5. I don't think it's really necessary to go overboard. Don't break the bank because you feel guilty. Just think about it...does it really matter that it is a destination wedding or if it were back at home? Either way, any wedding I have been in, you bought your own dress, shoes, paid for hair, makeup, bought them a shower gift, paid for throwing the shower, gave a wedding gift, etc. The only gifts I have received, or any gifts that anyone else I know have received as a bridesmaid are the jewelry. I know it can be a lot to ask someone to pay just for your wedding, but don't forget, they are on vacation too.
  6. I am only spending about $125 each. My wedding is in Bermuda, and Michael Kors just came out with a new perfume called "Bermuda," so I am getting them that, plus the jewelry, flip flops, and hair flower that they will wear that day.
  7. Thank god I am not the only one that can't make up their mind! I must be driving my planner crazy. I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th color palette right now. I'm still not happy. Good luck choosing yours!
  8. You may want to see if a friend can alter it for you. I am a fashion design student and can draft patterns from scratch. So take my word on this...that dress can be taken in soooo easily. You could probably do it yourself if you had a sewing machine. There are only 2 princess seams down the front, and the side seams. I bet that one of your friends mothers or grandmothers would do it for free! Good luck. I hope you get to keep it!
  9. I am looking to buy white gable boxes for OOT. They are cheapest if bought by the case (100.) They are running about $45 for the hundred. I only need 25. If anyone already bought extra, I would be interested in buying 25 from you.
  10. Ok, so we tried the DB one today and I am in love. That is SO the one! And...there are matching floral print peep toe heels that I am going to get, to wear with MY dress! What is also great is because it is an empire waist, it doesn't need alterations. The girls can buy their size off the rack.
  11. I agree...A blue color would probably be flattering on everyone.
  12. I wish. That's all Bermuda needs is my body rolling around on the beach in a bikini. I'm getting married at West Whale Bay Beach. Seems appropriate now. But I am going to splurge like you all are if I lose this baby weight!
  13. It looks legit. The prices aren't terrible either. I'm just going to but flowers and glue the clip myself though. So much cheaper, and at least you can pick the quality of the flowers you use. A lot of silks look cheap, and its hard to tell over the internet what you are getting.
  14. This is so hard! It's looking like 50-50 for the dresses. I guess if that's the case, the cheaper one will have to win! It saves them money, and saves me the money of buying bouquets for them! I already found some really cute jewelry to go with it too!
  15. Thanks everyone! We are going to look at the Davids one tomorrow. Here is my dress. I am also leaning toward the floral print because I can save $ by not buying bouquets and do parasols instead. I am less likely to do parasols with the solid colored dress.
  16. As always, I can't make a decision without getting 3,000 opinions first! I am deciding between 2 dresses for my girls. My color theme is aqua and chartreuse. The Davids dress is about $100 less than the other. This may sway me in that direction... (it wouldn't let me copy the pic so here is the link, it would be in the blue color) David's Bridal - Short strapless floral flat taffeta dress with ruching and in seam pockets. and here is the other... Jasmine Bridal this one would be in the Bahama Breeze color
  17. It is a simple tube style. A seam down either side. It will be VERY easy to alter. FYI it runs huge! I am a 16 and I ordered the 12 (sorry!) and I can almost zip it up. Some spanks and I would be set with the 12, but plan on losing some weight anyway. As far as the color, it is not a bright white. I wouldn't call it ivory. It's in between the two. It would work with white items though. I would try to pair it with white that has a metallic sheen if you can. You will see what I mean when it arrives.
  18. I am using cottonfruit.com and they are charging me $7.75 each for 30x60 embroidered towels. $18.25 shipping cost for all. I am only ordering 24, so for 50 your cost should be less than mine is.
  19. I just bought that hot pink one to wear out to dinner on the ship. It's so cute! Great quality. Only problem, I went back to order more and they only have size 14-18 in all of those.
  20. Good luck. I think you will love it personally. Maggie dresses are in a league of their own! (I'm biased though) P.S. I just bought this to use as a TTD. I got it in the mail today and it is such a great quality. To be honest, I would totally wear it all day as my regular wedding gown if I didn't already buy mine. Isaac Mizrahi for Target® Strapless Sheath Dress - Iggloo (White) : Target ...I didn't get the sash. It doesn't even need it.
  21. I just got it today and it is soooo nice! I almost regret buying a regular wedding gown. I would have been just as happy to wear this one all day. The fabric is such great quality. It has a cute little train in the back, and covered buttons down the length of the back closure. I totally recommend this dress! Definitely buy it a size smaller than you usually are though. It runs huge. I am a size 16 right now, but bought a size 12 because I just had a baby and plan on losing weight. I was able to put on the 12 and almost zip it up, so it is definitely on the big side.
  22. It's the diamond white color. I love it because it's got a slight ivory tint to it, but without that yellowish look that ivory sometimes has.
