I am soooo frustrated right now. I got a ticket on Friday for being on my cell phone. The frustrating part is that it was on speaker phone on my lap. The cop INSISTED he saw it in my hand. Then argued with me that it didn't matter since I wasn't using a hands free device. Whatever. There was no winning that argument with that jerk. I got home and looked at the law. It says that hands free could be a device, or internal component of the phone, which enables you to speak without using your hands. SPEAKER PHONE! DUH! So I call the court house today. Looks like I would need to fight the ticket and pay the court fees. But the woman said that I will have to pay the fine regardless. How is this fair? I shouldn't have even gotten the damn ticket in the first place! Sooo not fair that I'm out $130 because some ego maniac didn't want to lose a debate on what constitutes hands free, and I was the one that was right!

It sounds like a fun opportunity. If you did it now, at least you get the chance to live elsewhere, but still come back before your baby starts school. I would probably not do it if I had older children that would be taken away from their friends and family and have to start over at a new school in another country. It's a tough call. I would do it if I knew that my closest family and friends could afford to come visit, and vice versa. Thats the most important thing to me. Good luck with the decision!

I'm a stay at home mom and full time fashion design student. Hopefully when I'm done I will go on to design bridal gowns!

We are having a ceremony and cocktail party on the beach. Then dinner back on the ship since it's free (I'm being a cheapskate.) Then just going to hit the clubs on the ship for dancing. I know you can have a reception on the ship cause they all use "The Wedding Experience" for that. I looked on their site and it seems so much more expensive. We are having a bar setup, food and cake for much much less on the beach after the ceremony. If I had the budget I would have had a private reception though. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips! I have heard something about the soy screwing with the meds, but am not a big consumer of soy anyway. Do you know if it's true that birth control screws with it too? I have been on the same dosage and it didn't even change throughout my pregnancy. Then after, when I started birth control, my dosage had to be upped 3x already, and I have to still go back for more blood work to see if this one is right. I just feel so down about the weight issues. It REALLY is sooo hard to shed those pounds when you have this working against you. I think I may also pick up that book you recommended to see if there are any helpful tips in there too. Thanks again!!! Congrats on being a Mrs. by the way!

I'm not sure. I had to order my size from another store, so I don't have the name here. If you call there and describe it I'm sure they would know which one it is. I wish they were aqua blue. I would have bought them for MY wedding. I'm having the hardest time finding what I want. I'm prob gonna skip the heels all together at this point and just wear flips all day and night.

I just got these today at the Nine West outlet. I'm in my best friend's wedding the week before mine, and her colors are brown, champagne and orange. I thought they may work for one of you guys with that color palette. They also came in a blue multi pallette. They ranged from navy to baby blue. Soooo pretty in the blue, and both colors were only $35.

Wow...a challenge this late. Ok, how bout 100 crunches. 50 regular and 50 reverse.

Thank you so much Vikki! I just went to one of those sites and did the calculator. My ticker says I'm at 30.5%, but on that site that includes the measurements I'm 27.6%. A little more motivating. I'm trying to remain positive but it's so tough to see no change so many times.

So I'm having trouble getting motivated. I get myself all excited about eating healthy and working out, I lose a few pounds, and then it just stops. I know it's because of my thyroid problems. Here's my dilemma. I can eat WHATEVER I want, and I won't gain any weight, or if I do it takes a very long time to add up to a significant amount. At the other end, I start working out like crazy, and cut calories by at least half and barely lose anything. No Joke. I used to eat absolute crap every day. I have lost 15 pounds in 4 months. Only 10 during this contest. It sounds pretty decent, but you have to take into consideration that most weeks I have had 0 change at all. I lost 5 the first week, then 3, then 2, with weeks in between of 0. I feel like, why should I deprive myself of yummy food, and kick my own ass working out, if I barely get any results. Does anyone have a similar issue? Any secrets that can help me lose this weight?

It would totally drive me crazy to not be able to call her out on it. Hmmm...since you guys are roommates, do you think it's possible that you can say that she must have forgotten to log off or something, and that when you went to use the computer the email was up? That way you have an excuse for reading it?

No loss for me this week. I just started my invisilign yesterday and it fricken hurts to eat, so I'm hoping for a huge loss next week. I don't see a challenge for tomorrow yet and I don't want to be a challenge hog. Any suggestions?

I didn't get in on todays challenge. Mondays and Wednesdays are hard for me. I have classes from 8 am to 10 pm. I need to find some time to get a workout in there somewhere! The worst thing is that I eat like crap all day since all I seem to find near school is fast food. I will double up tomorrow though! I'm gonna do todays challenge, plus whatever tomorrows is.

Well, mine isn't quite as romantic, but it DID take place in the living room. We pretty much already knew we were getting married, since we have a son together. We had just had a baby in August, and bought a house the previous May, so a ring was not in the cards at the time. I was trying to drop hints as to what I liked whenever we would be walking around at the mall together or something. I just happened to see the EXACT ring I wanted and mentioned it to him. A few days later I was back at the mall for more shopping and noticed it was gone. Needless to say I was devastated that my dream ring was no longer an option. Keep in mind, this was in early October. Fast forward to late November...We decide that on black friday we are going to hit up the malls and see if there are any incredible deals at the jewelry stores. Thanksgiving dinner comes and goes, and I settle down on the couch next to him after putting our son to bed. I'm lying with my head in his lap almost asleep, when he says to me "I don't think we should look for a ring tomorrow." I damn near wanted to cry. But before I could, he said "it would make this one jealous." I open my eyes, and there is THE ring sitting there on my chest. The sneak went and bought it the day I told him about it, and held on to it for 2 months!

I finally did todays challenge. Did the 50 crunches + 30 min on the elliptical. Who has one for tomorrow?

It took me over a year to finally be sure of what colors I wanted. I changed my mind soooo many times. What helped me was starting a photo album on my computer where I saved pics that inspired me. Once you start to compile a bunch of things you love, a definite theme will emerge. From there you will be able to choose which colors seem right! Good luck with the planning!

I'm doing a cruise. Everything is included except alcohol. It's nice because the price is reasonable, there are a ton of things to do, and you can get married on the beach at whatever island you choose. We are sailing out of NYC to Bermuda. I don't know if a cruise is out of the question, but it's another option!

I don't know if this helps, but did you by any chance just start your birth control, or recently switch brands? I felt like I was depressed for a couple months when I began mine. My DR had me switching constantly for 6 months until I found one that worked for me. I was a psycho for the entire 6 months. I have finally found one that makes me feel like myself again. Could that be it? The only other advice I can give you is make sure you talk about it with someone. The more you let out the frustrations, the better you will feel. My sister has been on every form of anti-depressants in her life, and she is taking some class that helps get to the root of your depression. I have to say, she has never been better. She said it's far better than any pill she ever took, and doesn't want to have to depend on medicine to feel ok. I strongly believe that finding a group of people who can relate to you is such a great support system and can help you understand why you are feeling like this.

It seems like such a convenient location as well. You won't have to worry about transportation or anything. Plus, since you are staying right there, you can cut costs a ton by doing your own self service bar. I am doing that. My planner is setting up giant galvanized buckets filled with soda, bottled water, and Corona. Then carafes of pre made Rum Swizzle. You can pick one "signature" drink and do the same. It will save you hundreds on the bar tab.
