Has anyone hired someone besides the two aforementioned that may be a little more reasonable in pricing, but still take creative/artistic photos other than the usual group shots? I am using Nathan Cordova. I could not afford either photographer and Nate is super cheap but takes the same quality/artistic photos. license to Still

  3. I agree with Mallory but I would ask if he packed certain things.... like if one of your resturants has a dress code? Did he bring his dress pants, etc. Maybe he isn't aware of that? Our resort is like that. Otherwise, relax. As long as the wedding attire is there he could be naked the rest of the time right! lol. Have a blast! Can't wait to hear about everything when you return!
  4. Old Tan? I guess I will have to check that out. Now that there isn't English beige I think I have no choice but to order the swatches. Did someone say it takes them about 3 weeks from order to delievery? I still have time if that is the case....

Supposedly this is the place to go, so we shall see. I think this is what we are doing. We have a small group, so after the reception I want to see the Fire Dancers. I have a document at home that has the measurements of the aisle, I will post it later. Do the flowers have to be freeze dried or fresh I assume? They probably won't allow fake flowers, since they would blow away?
  6. UM what do you mean they are out of English Beige?! Did they say if and when they would get more in? I was going to place my order this week and that was the color I had settled on! OMG, this sucks!
  7. It makes me sad that I can't justify the cost of the light up floor when we only have 13 people and the budget is already tight. It was something I have wanted since the start. I really wish there was some way to do it... but it just doesn't make sense. I appreciate the opinion on the plywood Jesmcan, I think I will just ask for sand and no floor..
  8. Di- I thought the best man that was giving you trouble booked his trip finally? And to Mrs. G2B- You need to have the wedding you want, not what everyone else wants. You just have to be okay with the possibility that you may end up with very few guests and no parents. I only have 13 people coming and my dad isn't going. It is just going to be a small group of friends and my mom. I am ok with that now. It is still the wedding I want and I am happy.
  9. Hols! Hunny! Wow! Great Job! Everything looks wonderful! You are like an Etsy queen, lol. I seriously wish I could be there for your big day but my kids have activities that I can't let them miss. You are going to be so gorgeous and everything is going to be perfect! I can't wait to pour over your pictures! Muah!

We're doing the ipod thing in the garden area and planning on no dance floor since the wood planks are not gonna work for our dancing group, but the more I think about it, the more I want that light up dance floor. Yes but as Di said, it is like $700 Quote: Originally Posted by Jacinda Can anyone tell me, does the Royal Playa Del Carmen make guests wear bracelets (I really hope not)? Yes they do bracelets but they let you remove them for the wedding so you don't have them showing in pictures. I would think your brother would have a bracelet too, not sure if it is different colors or something due to his age. And I'm not sure what the drinking age is in Mexico.

My FI and Father will wear suits in English Beige and the GMs will pear just the pants in English Beige. I can't wait to see them! Glad you girls agree! Sounds like I should do English Beige. We are doing the same thing, FI is wear a suit and we are getting the GM's just pants to match. Quote: Originally Posted by Vallarta_2009 Our suits are arriving tomorrow too! Yes! Please post pictures as soon as you can, I really need to see the straight leg before I decide and order! Thanks!

I am worried he will get bumped since the resort is booked. I will be there when he checks in so I can scream!
  13. Um, you have to post pictures or I think they kick you out of the forum! Hope you had a wonderful day!

I also used the software to crop the image and use just part of it for my inserts and monogram on the front cover. Good Luck!
  15. Ok I am still debating on what to do for color, I don't want to have to order swatches due to how much time I have wasted now. Does anyone have an Ivory dress? If so what color of suit did you get and how did it look, or what color would you recommend? I want the guys to wear ivory/cream shirts too so I don't want the color of the suits to be too "peachy". Also, the tie will be pink, so I want a very "brown" hue to the tan color in the suit, instead of the peachy color. Does that make sense? Also, did anyone order a straight leg instead of the Classic Comfort fit? How did this look?

I wanted to upgrade too but with our tiny little party I am just going to settle for one of those... at least there is a choice of ugly now- before there was only one design! lol. I may go all out and choose the one with the seashells - might as well!

I know, we are not big dancers either and I feel like my reception will be awkward now. But I don't want to give up having my "first dance" kwim? Di- thanks mom!
